    I must credit you for how well you actually set that interview up, very good sound and display in fact better than professional news channels. I just long for the day I have a sale or sales every day instead of stops and starts. Last month it started to happen each day then the last week it stopped again. It is so disappointing and I cannot imagine how it must feel to sell hundreds of books each day.

      Thank you. I know it can be frustrating at the beginning but if you continue to create and push through, sales will gradually grow and become more frequent.

    All book sales die off unless you are in bookstores everywhere and have a big name, so don't worry. I always research my books, including keywords and category sellers, and I find it helps to have a lot of training in areas like book design, marketing, and author brand. Make your passion more saleable is my motto.

    This is my first comment on a youtube video. But I really wanted to thank you for all your precious advices you gave in all your videos. I get my first sell on 12th December. I published this book on 10th December and I get my first sell within two days. I have some experience in graphic designing so I designed my book cover very well and I followed all your seo tips. Thank you again for all your precious advises. I want to request you to tell us top 10 niches for 2022. I'm not a native english speaker so sorry for my bad grammar.

    I just launched my first adult coloring book after watching your videos. I am competitive in anything, but as an artist who suffered a lot of recent, personal traumas I decided to design this book as an expression but also to entertain the colorist with inspirational quotes, and affirmatios with great illustrations and designs. All the little things I told myself to stay the course. I am proud of it, and it was quite the undertaking. I would love your feedback. It would make my year. I am a tough chic so don't hold back, i want the tips and suggestions.... as long as its constructive, ,lol The book is; 'Simply Color' with inspirational quotes & Awesome Affirmatios. i am the author and creator Thanks for all you do.. sold several day1

    Finding a niche that has meaning to you and turning it into a passion project is my best advice!
    I know I’m in a very small percentage that started their KDP side gig and went viral right away translating to thousands in sales, but it really just comes down to making a product that will help a community of people and MARKETING IT!!!
    Do not listen to the nay sayers that it is “over saturated” there’s always new niches!

    PS. I learned something I don't think most of us know. That is that a customer can not leave a review for a book if they have not spent $50+ in the last 6 months on Amazon! I found this out after getting emails saying that they were unable to leave my book a review. This is a fact. I think it is hogwash and I just couldn't believe it when I found out

Very important to appreciate that this is a long-term business, not something to just try to jump into and exploit - as that's a sure path to failure. So all the books we create. Hundreds in Romney's case and Thousands in your case Paul... Are we all on the hook to continually keep the ads going for the life of our books? Or are some niches just a launch and then after X period of time you don't need to advertise as much? In other niches, you just have to continually keep advertising. Other niches it's another criterion required for advertising.

    • @paulmarles
      @paulmarles  2 роки тому +1

      The answer is - it depends - on what results you get from advertising. The aim is to get a good organic ranking and then stop the ad. That's my aim at least.
