Namaskar-ji & dhanyavaad! What a pleasant confirmation of a practice I've followed for years! In my bedroom I have a shrine including a burning heat-candle. In my previous flat a row of plants stood on the window sill; now they stand on a narrow side table - in both cases between the large shrine and window. Most of the time guardians gently bring to my notice when the candle is burning out or has just burnt out. This way I can always light up a new heat-candle and keep up the blessed ambience. Shubham!

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR GIVING SOME GOOD HINTS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE MADE OF STONE ( NOT EVEN WOOD ) BECAUSE WOOD IS MORE ALIVE THAN THOSE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE BEEN COMPLAING FOR THEIR FEELING LESS EMOTIONLESS MENTALITY.
I really appreciated the Ishaya in Tacoma giving me the technique for free to save my life. I was slowly dying, being cheated of my work and damage settlements as a mental out patient that was wounded way back in the late 1970s, long ago. I was attacked and beaten many many times very badly. But this year I am finally learning to use herbs and eat well, without the three meats that I don't think are that healthy - beef, chicken, and pork. I essentially fled a series of gang beatings in riots in Tacoma. I was assaulted ar the Ishaya center in Tacoma, where I had been graciously been given that technique. In 2023, I'm just beginning to apply knowledge to heal myself and most importantly I see the large cities as very dangerous, but nature is around -parks I can hike to and rivers and ponds I put rose quartz in take the waters clearer. It works! I found a rewarding lifestyle as I move from the crowds slowly.
I love birds but now I'm older and the world around me has changed in many ways. When I visit one of my Son's in the city, there are a huge amount of birds making noise from the only few trees and bushes in the neighborhood. It is freeky and annoying.
putting plants in a dark room means the plants don't photosynthesize in that environment so its breathing oxygen instead of CO2, which is still okay. But putting an oil lamp is way worse since the flame will consume a lot of oxygen, and not to mention the soot that you will inhale throughout the night. Makes no sense, Sadhguru. Me, i just put an oxygen generator outside the balcony and pipe it to my room, set it to 43% for a few hours, problem solved, you dont want it ON for the whole night cause you will get oxygen poisoning.
Thank you. Such a lamp would have been a huge help to me when growing up in 1949 and nightmares started for hours leading to narcolepsy as it happened with thousands of children worldwide. Unfriendly beings want to harm you. But they do not Iike the fire and light. When will modern medicine accept this ? Not in the next 200 years. And I feel grateful for the Indian support.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏 I keep a candle lit through the night in a lantern and I love how I feel when I see it flicker as i go asleep and when i wake up. I am fortunate enough to live away from the hustle and bustle of the world, here in the USA, and the only things I hear at night (consciously) are the cars trekking up and down the mountainside road which takes maybe in the 12hour night hours possibly 40 automobiles and trucks - some nights from 11pm to 6am there are only a half dozen, if that. I am surrounded by trees outside, not even a grass yard, and I have my window open (or at least a small crack open) except on the coldest of nights, to have clean air. My bedroom, and other rooms as well are filled with plants, and I talk to them each day. Wild animals are close-by because I feed them daily too. I have a cell phone, but I keep it charged on the other end of the house, just like my tv and other remote-controlled items. Since the time I have become fortunate enough to live this way, my sleep has improved, and my sleep is comfortable in a way I cannot explain. I will say that consciously, there are few things better feeling than to wake surrounded by plant life. Expecially if you have a personal relationship with the plants.
Oh NO, I'm aware of it, and I live in deep South Texas, in USA. I recall in 1950s-1960s. We could hear the sound of crickets at night. We would sleep with our windows open. The feel of the breeze was good enough to keep cool. No air conditioning necessary, and we would do just fine. Now everyone here has air conditioning and they wonder how we managed without. I MiSS those days.😥
I was brought up by my grandmother who said never to keep plants in the bedroom as it uptakes oxygen in the night and releases carbon dioxide.. lighting a lamp too needs oxygen. And I feel it’s also dangerous to keep a fire burning when we are asleep.
Well science proves that plants take carbon di oxide and releases oxygen. But yes in western countries keeping anything burning particularly in winter is trying to burn down your house coz houses are made up of wood and insulation makes it worst resulting in burning down a whole house in less than 15 minutes.
I listen to Guruji’s, whatever come in front of me and most of it is very inspiring or interesting. I have a little trouble understanding this. In India as well as in USA, my residence is in the suburbs. I live in both places. I felt the sound pollution (from car horns/ loud speakers from mosques, churches and temples/ sound of diesel Autorickhaw’s etc ) is much higher in India. I enjoy the singing of the birds and the sound of nature more when I am in my suburban house in USA. On the sunlight aspect: yes I am fully with Guruji.

It does. Glad I came across this. My daughter's would never wake up crying in the night once they no longer needed feeding. (safely hung lamp)
Also when you enter R.E.M. the flickering of the flame takes effect.
Thanks Sadhguru for the advice I always have a lamp in my room have to work on the plants now Om Namo Shiva 🕉️🕉️🇨🇦
Thank you so much for the advice I learned good things about life and I loved plants ❤😊
Absolutely! I have four plants in my bedroom.. I burn a aromatic candle when I do my meditation... Namaste!🙏🙏🙏
I am grateful. Thank you so much. Sending all my love
My window is exposed to a tree that harbours hundreds of birds that wakes me up every morning. And a warm sunlight .
I love birds but now I'm older and the world around me has changed in many ways. When I visit one of my Son's in the city, there are a huge amount of birds making noise from the only few trees and bushes in the neighborhood. It is freeky and annoying.
Sadhguru vanakkam.I started following recently. My life changed .on hearing your thoughts very instinct & scientific.
Good advice especially in winter when light is brief!
putting plants in a dark room means the plants don't photosynthesize in that environment so its breathing oxygen instead of CO2, which is still okay.
God please protect this man at all cost🙇♀️
He doesn’t believe in God 🤣
I love you
Love seeing you
Listening to your wisdom
Man belongs to nature. I must surround myself with nature to enjoy life; at the same time aware and thankful of God's presence being the creator😌
Don't compare ritual habits of different religions. Speak without being biased.
Be a Guru only spreading good lessons in living a good honest life 👌
Unfortunately you didn't get sad guru right ,he said practice what he is saying about fire ,you won't become a fire worshipper
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
I keep a candle lit through the night in a lantern and I love how I feel when I see it flicker as i go asleep and when i wake up.
I will be reintroducing plants soon...i love having plants around me...and I'm looking forward to sleeping and waking up with them again...🌴🍂🕯🍃🌾

Have burned a prayer candle every day for almost 50 yrs but not at night or in bedroom, with roaming pets at night fire hazard…plants always in house! & I maintain a beautiful green garden in my space 21yrs now! Many bushes & cooking herbs!
thank you
Plants in the bedroom great idea lamp in the bedroom not so much, especially if you have children you have to use common sense though.. thank you for the other great tips!
hmm where live it can get extremely cold in winter so I have to keep windows closed - lamp would probably burn up all the oxygen in the room. Moving to the rain forest sounds like a good idea 😄
Remember to chant mantra Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for great health abundance and joyful spirit 3X am 3X upon retiring to bed and visualize all the above and see the powerful shift in your life ✔️✔️✨
Plz ask ur leader whether u should comment on UA-cam or not.. Me too practitioner.. I know u said wt good intention. Thanks
The light of life appreciate the beauty you have within your soul♡
Be careful with open source of fire/flame/lamp, then going off to sleep.. Fire accidents often happened during sleep..🙏
😂
I live in Texas and right now it's 110° outside and has been for the last 3 weeks, so yes we're going to run an air conditioner 24/7.
The reason is global warming 😂.
And the reason is practiced 24/7😂
I’m in Austin, where are you? I do the lamp and I really like it, and yes I run the AC when it’s that hot out!
Lighting the oil lamp is what I mean…
I live on a farm in the desert and all you hear is the birds and animals🙏🏽thank you for your video I love the plants, mountains and animals ❤️❤️❤️
This is very educational😮
Oh NO, I'm aware of it, and I live in deep South Texas, in USA. I recall in 1950s-1960s. We could hear the sound of crickets at night. We would sleep with our windows open. The feel of the breeze was good enough to keep cool. No air conditioning necessary, and we would do just fine. Now everyone here has air conditioning and they wonder how we managed without. I MiSS those days.😥
Very well explained

I was brought up by my grandmother who said never to keep plants in the bedroom as it uptakes oxygen in the night and releases carbon dioxide.. lighting a lamp too needs oxygen. And I feel it’s also dangerous to keep a fire burning when we are asleep.
About plants - that's not entirely true. Some plants like snake plant and aloe vera absorb co2 and release o2 at night, when you sleep.
@@mayukhmukhopadhyay194 wow is that true? I didn’t know this.. Thank you so much for sharing the information
@@JudydeSilva You're welcome
True
YOU ARE FULLY LEAR
Hi! Guruji thanks for this video and advice.
Lovely sadhguru, always a pleasure listening to you ❤🙌

Am a member of celestial church of Christ and we usually do dat as well nice teaching.
The fact that nobody talks about the book whispers of manifestation on borlest speaks volumes about how people are stuck in a trance
I respect you my guruji like you so much
I still don't understand the get less sleep thing. I've been up for days straight and if you don't sleep you start to go crazy. LeBron James say he sleeps 9hrs every night. I resonate with that a little more than not sleeping at all. Don't we have to sleep because of the moon?
Sadguruji , is candle enough?
