Final Fantasy 7 is for sure one of the greatest video games of all time. And the Final Fantasy 7 OST is no exception. There are so many Final Fantasy Remix choices out there. Tifa's theme worked out so well on guitar and I'm glad I decided to do a video game remix on the old acoustic of it. FF7 will always be a classic, and I'm glad I have the opportunity to share in some of the glory of this video game series.

This hits so beautifully. I was a young man when FF7 came out in 1997. Had my whole life in front of me. Now I am an old man wondering where all the time went. Thank you for taking me back to a special time, even just for a little while.

Such a perfect song for Tifa. Beautiful, a little sad, super nostalgiac, and so comforting. She really was always the only one for cloud, he just had to remember who he truly was.

Despite the fact that she played into his fantasy instead of correcting him and setting him straight about the events in Neibelheim. But, no, oh yeah, she totally helped him remember who he truly was... after he was left catatonic and Sephiroth used Cloud's mental glitch to totally play him and get the black materia.

You literally never miss a note in your arrangements. So many people wouldn't bother playing some of the closer harmonies (like the 2nds everywhere in this piece). I'm really grateful for it!

I get so emotional listening to this. I am a big fan of most things Final Fantasy but for some reason it's the soundtrack of FF7 that seems to hold so much emotional weight that the others just can't hold a candle to.

Know what this song feels like? It's like going back to your hometown only to find out the things you've loved have started to fade away. The tree where you and the kids gather to play, the starry skies you can no longer see, that favorite spot at the rooftop where you used to take your alone time when you needed it and even the people themselves whom you're unsure if you'll ever meet again. You've grown, you've grown apart the things in the past which built you who you are today are changing. And now some very dear things you've treasured burned to the ground, all the hard work, all the love, care and effort you put just to make your dreams come true. The smiles you've made and shared with everyone along the way all gone. They're all in the past now. Once again, you grow, you look up, you smile and think "I'll treasure these memories, for as long as I still have these memories we are all still together". Still, you take comfort in the fact that there is still hope, then as you gain another hint of strength you press forward.
Hands down, best rendition out there. The most complete version. It's bittersweet; sweet because it's a beautiful piece and bitter because I can't play it yet
The music of FF7 hits so much different than other game music. It’s all so iconic and beautiful. From Tifas theme, to Aeriths, Shinra, Cosmo Canyon, One Winged Angel, and so much more. This is a wonderful and hauntingly beautiful rendition.

I didn't play the game but I feel like I'm on the cusp of remembering a distant memory from some 20 years ago in a place that I've never been. Funny how music moves the heart huh. Just so sombre and surreal. Can really feel the melancholy in the notes alone.

When summer comes around, i always play this- because it reminds me how warm tifa is and what i order at the bar.

I didn't play FF7 on my childhood (I grew up with a N64). I just finished it two weeks ago on Switch, and is not only the first FF I played, but also my first J-RPG to 100% completed.
Since I don't have any nostalgic connection to the game and the genre, I can confirm that FF7 is not only great game, but also one of the best games I've ever played with some of the best music ever composed.
After i played final fantasy 7 remake i figured out why every one loves this characters

Aghil Moslemian the original is so much better imo. The graphics are outdated but the story is better than any other I’ve ever experienced in any other video game. If you liked the remake you should give the original a shot
I played the remake first, then decided to download the original on my phone. Truely an amazing game and has brought me really close to the characters. I have a huge soft spot in my heart

Bravo, man! I don't even know how I got here, but I really enjoyed this video. It's a very beatiful song and it brings a lot of good memories. You played it majestically, put a lot of emotions into it. Even my wife who had never heard this song before said it was beautiful. I am even thinking about getting the tabs, but this song seems quite challenging for my current level. Anyway, congratulations for the work!

it's crazy how this game was created in the time it did. A game that good with power soundtracks like this. Shows how much work they put into the game.

I bought a classical guitar the other day due to this channel. Inspirational stuff, even if I'll never play as skillfully as you, will be fun to try
One of the things I really like about Sam's playing compared to other people doing similar covers, is that he gets the note weighting absolutely spot on. A lot of UA-camrs who play video game music on guitar tend to play the pieces with a consistent note weighting and it makes it sound - somewhat ironically - like it is being played by a computer. With Sam it feels like the notes and timing are exactly as they are in the original pieces rather than exactly on the measure and exactly the same weighting. It's really evident here when the main melody kicks in and the bass notes are just resting underneath rather than getting equal punch. Obviously it's a less emotional piece, but Sam totally nailed this when he did the Super Mario 2 theme; which was not only hyper-technical but absolutely cock-on in the note weighting.

I've been playing for somewhere around 20 years and I think I have accepted that I just will never be able to figure out how to play artificial harmonics. I get how it works, but I can't seem to get it to work. It's such a perfect touch in this arrangement though! Bravo 👏

The reason this song is so good is because of all of the little accent notes, and you pull them all off really well. Especially in the second verse.
You capture the pure emotion in these songs. It really makes me want to play this game one more time through.
