@@darflexswolez2266 actually, some are parents! I have 3 kids and they all watched this movie when they were little. My son has his daughter when he was 22 and my daughter just had her son and she is 20. So now my granddaughter that is 2 has watched this movie already.
Your comment made me cry because my faith has been fading so bad this last few years and I needed a sign to go back, thank you, you don't know how much this means to me
I was in the kamehameha schools childrens choir when I was in 4th-6th grade and now my son is in the choir right now.The choir just sounds amazing and the director is still directing today ❤
God the nostalgia just makes me want to break down in tears, how much I miss being a kid I can not describe and the sad thing is we didn’t know we were making memories we’d cherish for the rest of our lives. It might just be because I’m older now but the movies and stories felt much more real and well written back then.
Love the guy doing the Stitch voice at the end, but this must have been filmed well before the movie was released so to those kids he's just a weird guy doing a weird voice haha.
I am so very happy that the traditional language of the islands is forever documented. The kids are great and Mark Kealiʻi Hoʻomalu's voice is one of the most relaxing ever.
_He Mele No Lilo_ & _Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride_, as sung by the Kamehameha Schools' Children's Chorus and Mark Keali'i Ho' Omalu. Hawaiians should be very proud of their heritage and culture. It is very beautiful.
I absolutely adore Lilo and Stitch, every time I watch it I fall in love over and over again with its amazing portrayal of the native Hawaiian language, story, animation, and lovely message about family, and despite all the times I’ve seen this movie I can’t ever prepare myself to not cry during it.
That's Kumu Bright (director of the Choir) who still teaches music and continues as the director till this day ❤ These kids are now about 30-33 years old.
I remember seeing the footage of them singing in the extra clips on Lilo and Stitch and they look like they're having a blast here and in the footage. Nevermind they sound beautiful and just awesome.
It makes me so emotional to listen to. Reminds me of childhood, the beauty of nature, rich gorgeous culture. So nostalgic and iconic, i have Lilo and Stitch on VHS. Still one of my favorite movies of all time
They are from Kamehameha school on Oahu named after King Kamehameha which came long before dragon ball . My name is Hoku, you'll never guess who I'm always compared to lol.
I love the Kamehameha choir, most of their traditional songs come from and are about inner strength. Even sad songs sound so strong, Polynesian cultures are for lack of a better phrase a wonderful and beautiful people. I wish my words could do more justice.
Genesis Gordo that’s Mark Ho’omalu, a respected kumu hula (teacher of hula) He has a studio in Oakland California. You should check out his music on iTunes.
They were amazing but they are all now grown up and parents themselves singing this song well teaching it to their children and their children will all now fall in love with this song because they can show their kids this video and say that was me when I was a little boy or a little girl and they will be stunned that they were the ones who got to sing Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride!!! Wow!!! Such an amazing song still!!!
Reminds me of being a little keiki. I was around 7 dancing hula when this movie came out. Literally in tears of how long it’s been since the release of this movie.
Oh to be a young child in a Hawaiian choir in 2001 about to be in one of the biggest animated films of all time...This movie came out when I was 4 years old...now I’m 22 & looking back really makes me emotional. Not sure why. Times just don’t feel how they used to now a days ..
Believe it or not, I’m in that choir. I didn’t sing the song but I’m apart of that choir, and to look back on it, it’s amazing and a side note, that teacher is still teaching. Her name is Mrs Bright
I was 6 years old in 2002 and I have been wanting to go to Hawaii ever since I watched Lilo and Stitch. I'm turning 25 this year and I still want to go. It would be a dream come true if I ever went, I'm from Europe.
i'm here because 1. I love this song. and 2. 1:38 was featured in another video that i saw and i almost dropped my phone because the choir lady has very similar features to my mom. Like i thought it was her for a moment. My mom passed away a little over a month ago so this was sad and nice to see at the same time because my mom loved to sing as well and she was wonderful at it.
This was so friggin BEAUTIFUL! It seriously brought a tear to my eye...those kids singing, smiling and having a blast. Not to sound too cliche, but there's so much power and soul in ALOHA, I love it.
I've always loved this from Lilo & Stitch and never knew this video was here! I'm going to my room to cry and then the kids won't think Mum's lost the plot completely 😭😭😭
I remember watching this as a child when it came out and it brings memories. I also had the chance in high school to be able to learn Tahitian it was for a while ,but it makes a beautiful impact in your life. Kind like letting go and enjoying the beauty of it all . I wish I still danced :( it only lasted for 1-3 months 🥺. I sort of miss my child hood too
10 years ago... how crazy, it feels like yesterday that I watched the Lilo and Stitch movie and loved that song so much. These children have become adults, how can time go by so quickly? I can't believe this song has been out for over 10 years. What nostalgia...
Kids loved this music. The first one was dedicated to the last King of Hawaii. Kids love Kumu Mark, too. They are still singing and dancing to these pieces.
I was 4 years old when this movie came out. I’m 25 now. This beautiful song made my day and I can’t stop smiling as I rewatch this video over and over. The video is bringing back wonderful childhood memories and recent memories to my first first visit to Hawaii last May ( 2022 ).
From Navajo, to Cherokee, to Hawaiian, etc, it truly swells my heart with pride to see beautiful indigenous culture honored. Even if the topic of Hawaiian state ship is still controversial, I truly admire and love our Hawaiian brothers and sisters as a continental American. Such beautiful art that we are so lucky to display as apart of our country.

I don't know why but I feel like tearing up? Damn they're right, it -is- powerful when they sing...
Wherever you are, in every culture there is a strange connection between people and water

Amen!
Amen 🙏🏼!
Innocent children singing a beautiful written song, nothing more pure, nothing closer to heaven

Let's not forget the teacher with the amazing energy that flows through these kids. These are the kind of teacher we need in every subject.
Did I mention that she is still at the school today? She has won the teacher of the year award for the elementary school this year!

Amazing that the tradition is still going! I wish I could learn from him too!
I wonder if it would be possible to have a reunion with these adults now ? I bet they would love it and the new sound would be amazing also.
Amazing!!
I'm in my early 20s and I grew up watching Lilo and Stitch. Ever since I was a kid it has been a dream to go to Hawaii and it still is.

Hawaiian songs sang by Hawaiian children of Hawaiʻi, proud Hawaiian forever!
