    Just fell upon your channel and so happy I did! You are the only Fuji video instructor I have come upon that literally shoots similar to what I do, and you have been a great help to me! I have watched 3 so far and see much more that interest me! I just traded my Nikon D810 system in for the X-T3 system, now 2 full weeks in with the X-T3! (it came to a great shock to everyone that knows me)
    Do I miss the full-frame 36MP beast? NOPE! It's like when I had my long hair and just got out of the barber shop having cut it! LOL! Thanks for all the real down-to-earth information..I'm with ya!

    Hi Ian, as the heading was geared towards Fuji shooters I wasn't going to watch but as I am sat here having a cuppa I pressed play and let it roll. To be honest there was some good tips on general shooting which could be applied to many cameras - not just your Fuji. Listening to you saying about shooting video and 120 fps etc I would be interested to see you do an edit video going through your process for putting a vlog together - something I wish I could get my head around - its the one thing that stops e trying to get more content out. atb Alan

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  5 років тому

      Thanks for watching Alan even though you do not own a fuji. I pretty much used the same set up on my Nikons so you are right it is fairly general. Yeah, that would be a good idea for a future video, I might look into that 👍👍

    Hey Ian - at 3:45 you describe setting the rear command dial to Focus Check. I have been trying to set this up on my X-T3 but for the life of me I can't get it to punch in (zoom in)! Any thoughts? (I 100% have the rear command dial set to Focus Check).

    Hi, thanks for the amazing video here, I have a question, on the single shoot mode, in the screen there is a small square that limit the capacity of my picture, I mean, instead of having the full picture I have a have it reduce a little bit and I notice when I saw the result of my picture. I have a Fujifilm XT4. Thanks for your help.

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  4 роки тому

      sounds like you have your focus assist mode set so it shows the full picture and a smaller zoomed in part of the image. You can change it in the focus assist menu. If not, i'm not sure to be honest. 👍👍

      Thanks Niko, Glad you found it useful, yeah I used to use back button focusing all of the time on my nikons, never done it on the fujis though. Not sure why, just the way things have panned out. Thanks for watching as always mate 😃👍

    I've had dead pixels on 3 X-S10's and on my X-T3 in FHD. And Fuji was absolutely no help. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem but I am also disappointed that FUJI is not as good as I thought.

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  5 років тому

      Well, as mentioned when on the tripod i'm focusing manually, so its not relevant. When using auto focus, as mentioned, i'm using single point, etc.... etc....

    Really enjoying your channel since discovering it, it making me fancy dabbling in the world of fujifilm too, since you've used the xt2 and xt3 for a while now do you feel there any real benefit to the xt3 for landscape photography over the xt2? Would be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks for making these great videos 👍

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  5 років тому +1

      Hi Bud, Thanks for watching. The only benefit i can see for landscape photography would be the slight increase in megapixels, but it's such a small amount its negligible really. So not much difference at all, Video on the other hand, the cameras are worlds apart . 😃👍👍

    • @TheAndyMaan
      @TheAndyMaan 5 років тому

      @@ian_worth Thank you for the response, ok cool that's good to know. I realise there are other benefits to the xt3 but just wanted to see if there was much difference in the image quality. I'm half tempted to take a punt on a xt1 as 16mp is still plenty for my use. Thanks again 😃

    Hi Ian, just found and subscribed to your channel. How big du you print landscape shots? I want to go from FF to Fuji, but I am concerned that I cannot print really large, like 70 cm at the widest edge. Do you habe any experience with that?

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  4 роки тому +1

      Hey there, thanks for watching. I tend to only print up to A2 which is about 60cm. They look great. I can't see why you couldn't print 70 cm though. The bigger the print the further back you will stand to see it all, so i'm sure the quality will look great. 👍

    12800 iso WTF?

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  5 років тому +4

      Are you referring to the auto iso for my walk around settings. If you are, you may be getting a little confused. Setting the max iso to 12800 doesnt mean thats what you will be shooting at. Auto iso, will always select the lowest available iso without dropping below your minimum shutter speed to get the correct exposure. Meaning if you are shooting in daylight, which I normally do, the iso will always be fairly low, providing the aperture is not set to something silly like f16. I hope that clears things up for you.
      As an aside, if you have a questions you would like to ask, please ask politely. I'm trying to keep the comments section a positive space for people to share their thoughts and knowledge.
