Losing a kid is a struggle like none other. I lost my baby boy 13 years ago. He passed away from SIDS. I found him and had to do CPR on him but, to no avail. I still carry that weight around to this very day. Im a lifelong firefighter and I pride myself on making a positive impact in people's lives. And every now and then, being able to save a life. When it came to it, I couldn't bring my boy back. Im in a better place mentally but, it's never easy. My heart goes out to anyone carrying that type of weight. Keep pushing. Even if you don't know what direction you're pushing to.
I don't think I've ever seen an interview with DC I didn't like or thought was boring. Dude's got social skills in spades. And I absolutely love pound 4 pound, so this was perfect 👌

Bummed to hear DC say he's not getting views! I personally am a huge fan of the DC Check-Ins every Fight Week. Every single fighter seems at ease around DC and they're always fun conversations. Great chemistry with Askren on Funky & the Champ too. I think more interviews outside of Fight Week would be great though. Like the Merab+Aljo interview recently was great. People also love fighters talking about their past battles or even just shared interactions. The internet would explode for the Jones interview obviously lol....but other than that, I think a DC-Gustafsson interview would be really cool too. Or even Ryan Bader or Derrick Lewis or Frank Mir or Volkan Oezdemir. Don't know if bringing on Masvidal for Funky & The Champ is doable either, but bringing on DJ and having him and Askren talk about their opposite perspectives on that whole "trade" would be really interesting too. I lost my middle son, and I can attest, getting up everyday hurts, thinking hurts, fuck breathing hurts, and everyone feels so distant after a while because a lot of people either feel bad or feel helpless because no matter what they do they cant cure you. So learning to channel that terrible event, that loss into something positive is hard but it is a gift from the lost one, They are cheering you on where ever they may be, that consciousness and information still resides somewhere and it pushes you. Working out for me is the biggest thing, if I get down on that event, I can hit the bag, or the mats and I can do unworldly things. I feel great too afterwards.
