Thanks for acknowledging those of us who can’t have kids, or struggle with infertility. We are always so happy for you mammas even if it brings out emotions. ❤
I can’t have due to medical problems that I have and most likely my kiddo would also have had if I would have kids. I am now 43 and it still gives me so much emotions if someone tells me they are pregnant. I am happy for them for sure of course but I still would like to be in the same situation if that makes sense…
I just found out I'm pregnant yesterday and my hcg level was at 315! We have been trying for almost a year and I honestly didn't even think I was pregnant, I took the test to rule it out because I was having some cramps and my period wasn't starting. Good luck and best wishes for everyone to have happy and healthy pregnancies!
So incredibly excited for you and Alex. We experienced pregnancy loss with our first (we now have 4 beautiful, healthy children) so I know how incredibly difficult it is to navigate that grief. Thank you for speaking about pregnancy loss and infertility with such grace and compassion. Wishing you all the best as you continue on this pregnancy journey. I don’t know you personally, but have watched both of your videos for years, and by the way you live your lives, and treat one another with such love and respect, I just know you will be the most phenomenal parents.
Such a considerate opening acknowledging that this could be triggering for others. Congratulations, thoroughly enjoying your videos and looking forward to the pregnancy content.
This is so beautiful to see 🥰 I once messaged you thanking you for your videos as I used to watch when my newborn son was sleeping as my wee form of self care. He is now a beautiful 2 year old, we welcomed his little brother 3 months ago and I still find peace watching your videos 🤍 So excited to follow your pregnancy journey, it’s certainly the most humbling but special thing I’ve had the privilege of experiencing and I absolutely love hearing others experiences too! Sending lots of love following your loss also 🤍 we suffered a loss prior to having our boys and I know how heartbreaking it can be and how scary pregnancy feels after going through that. Sending positive vibes for a smooth rest of your pregnancy and an empowering birth of your precious daughter 💕
Carrie I truly could not be more excited and full of joy for you and your family!! You have impacted my life in so many ways and helped me fall in love with my body and food and life honestly in so many ways. Your videos and content have always brought so much comfort and encouragement and make me dream!! I have always wanted to be a mom and I know watching your journey will be so special and beautiful just like all the other moments you’ve shared!
Abigail, this is so kind! 🥹 Wow. I got teary eyed reading this. Thank you so much for being here. I am so lucky to have people like you on this journey with me.
I'm 7 weeks, and I've too have experience lost at 5 weeks. And I'm very nervous and anxious for my first visit to the doctor and the ultrasound. Praying everything will be okay with my baby, and the baby of all of us pregnant!!
So excited for you all. Been watching since the beginning, and this is such a blessing and makes me so happy during a very frustrating and sad time in my life personally.
Congratulations Carrie and Alex ❤ you definitely have that pregnancy glow! My biggest symptoms in the first trimester were breast pain, low back pain, extreme hunger and FATIGUE! Praying for a happy and healthy rest of your pregnancy and delivery for you!
The gagging video from the vlog 😆bless you! So nice to hear about your first trimester even though I'm nowhere near thinking about my own journey yet! 💗
Congratulations Carrie! I bumped into you as you guys were leaving Renee’s last week - I started watching your UA-cam channel last year when I started my veggie garden. Such a small world 😊
Oh wow that’s so cool! 🩷 I remember your face! ☺️ Feel free to say hello next time. I hope you are feeling well and that the pregnancy is going well for you.
So excited for you. Love the updates! Don't forget to print out all your preg. notes. Then tuck them into your baby book. Those notes and letters are what my children love to look back on!
Carrie, this was so fun to watch and listen to. I’ve enjoyed your easy going, calm content for years and years (just you and your white pup) This is so exciting to see you, Alex and Lanka go through this next season of life with each other. Having children is a HUGE blessing, transforming and the best life experience- to say the least. So happy for you! 🤗💛
so glad you’re doing video like this is also beautiful how considerate you are of others! This is so entertaining to watch and brings my memories of my own pregnancies- first one I was extremely nauseous because of every until about 32weeks and the second time around I was fine the whole time also had completely different cravings…pregnancy is a journey… and so different for every woman and I really enjoy hearing stories from other women. Thank you for sharing your story
Hey Carrie! For any lower back pain or future back pain/ supporting the growing belly, I got the Go Mama Maternity Belly Band and it was amazing. Our little girl is 3 weeks tomorrow and what a journey! I created a community of mums that I related with and relied on them, it is the greatest and most comforting support! Can’t wait to watch this journey🤎
I’m currently 14 weeks 2 days pregnant and I’ve had a lot of similar symptoms as you. I’m also having a little girl due in early April. What’s been the worst is not staying hydrated enough because of my aversion to water. I need to almost always have flavored water or electrolyte enhanced (such as Gatorade) nearby. I’ve dealt with low blood pressure at times because I’m not as hydrated. It’s so hard! I felt really guilty for quite a few weeks because I wasn’t able to exercise like I had been pre-pregnancy and basically turned into a couch potato. So far, week 12-14 has been better, but I find I simply can’t be as active as usual right now. Lots of breaks and resting in between. Congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️
I too had a dream when I was 4 months into my pregnancy that I had a baby girl. She was huge!! I consequently gave birth prematurely at 27 weeks and she weighed 1040 kgs so very small. I'm pleased to say it was a while ago and she's a very happily married 40 year old!! I knew all along after that vivid dream I was having a daughter. You look glowing by the way x
Here until the very last moment of this update. You have been a light in my life for years, Carrie, and I cannot wait to witness the beautiful journey you and Alex are on. xo
Fabulous🎉. This will complete the package. Husband, house, dog, sundry other pets, and baby. Congrats to you two, you are beautiful people doing a beautiful job of living your lives in this tumultuous world and times. 👶👫
Such a beautiful vlog Carrie. Thank you for taking us on this ride in such a ‘real’ way. You are looking even more beautiful. Hopefully the wind is gone now and you can enjoy preparing for your daughter as the weather warms up. My first daughter was a Feb baby too, those last few weeks in the heat are a challenge!
The moment at 7 weeks when you doctor said you have your baby’s heartbeat and you were emotional was so aww 🥰 what a lovely moment of peace in your heart ….lovely to see you at your 20 weeks 🙂🙏💕
This is crazy!! I’ve been following you since you moved and I was the one that one point asked if you guys were planning on having kids before your trip to Asia!! And I am on my third trimester, but look at you -😮😊🎉wow!!
Thank you for sharing your journey, I have seen so many that share this wonderful journey that has no issues, it is nice to see something a bit more raw and informative too ✨
Love this video ❤ I’m finishing up my 12 weeks with second baby. We experienced loss between baby 1 and 2. Loved that you acknowledged that! Related to most of your symptoms this one for me is rough compared to the first 😅
I'm a mom of 3, so I understand the symptoms lol. I'm so happy for you guys. I've followed you since you started your channel and I wish I could give you a big hug. ❤
Omg the way the gagging clip took me RIGHHHTTT BACKKKK to those days 😅💀 I felt your pain on a soul level! We had such similar experiences it's uncanny! I'm so happy you're feeling good again and so excited for you mama, you're doing amazing and should be so proud of yourself x
Congratulations, Carrie, this was so lovely and dear to watch! I'm so happy for you and Alex and incredibly thankful for you for sharing all the details with us. I've had two early losses and still trying to conceive. For me watching this content is now very mixed, which feels so sad as I've enjoyed these videos for many years and still do. Thank you for acknowledging that it can be hard. It's so good to hear other people's experiences of loss too, even if it is sad. I'm glad you shared parts of it here and will also listen to your podcast. At this point in this journey, it gives me a lot of hope and makes me more optimistic when I hear other people's experiences and successful pregnancies after. So I'm very thankful for you in sharing your syptoms. I'm now so afraid of the pain that came the two times, it's also good to hear that pain doesn't have to be bad. I hope that makes sense, as I can understand it wasn't a nice experience for you at all during those first weeks! Wishing you all the best for your pregnancy and lots of love!
I'm so excited for you!!!! Also UGHHHHHHH I was all day sick and nauseous with my little guys pregnancy from 4 weeks to 20 weeks and thinking about getting pregnant again next year AND I AM NERVOUSSSSSSSS
I’m so so happy for you!! I love watching these videos as well but with having emetophobia I really don’t see myself having kids because of the pregnancy & after😢 That’s why my joy and happiness always goes out to the momas who are so strong ♥️♥️♥️ the way you also talked about woman with fertility issues or loss was so beautiful♥️♥️♥️ I’m sorry for the loss you experienced & praying for you for a healthy and happy pregnancy😍🫶🏼
Awww this vlog was lovely and I watched all the way to the end! Congratulations to you both such wonderful news 🎉 I journeyed through infertility for 11 years and had 3 miscarriages during this time. You never forget the heartbreak of loss and I think it is important to talk about loss as women generally don't talk about it unfortunately. 😢 I am now the proud mama of boy / girl twins and I will never forget the severe sickness I had until I was 15 weeks!! Lovely vlog... I enjoyed reminiscing with you. Take care and I wish you all the very best for the future! Xx
I am SO excited for Carrie Rad pregnancy content 🥰❤️ thank you for sharing your candid real experience. I had a baby about 1.5 years ago and ALL I want to watch is pregnancy/ motherhood videos. I love it. We are all in this together ❤️❤️❤️
Watched til the end :) you are going to make an amazing mother Carrie! Hope the rest of your pregnancy treats you well and can’t wait for more updates 💕
Just watched your video from beginning to end.... I no longer can have kids but I have had my babies now so I just love hearing others and their experience. Firstly, I also knew I was pregnant with my first child long before I tested positive. I literally tested negative several times including two blood tests. Then finally I tested positive. My first born is a girl. I wanted to share a couple of tips with you.... 1. PRUNES... are your best friend when that number two ain't coming 😄 2. If you are getting short of breath and struggle eating meat, it possibly could be your iron levels as well. My tip for you as someone who needed to get my iron levels up for birth with my last child, is invest in some spartone and orange juice. Also, since you love bananas, drizzle on them some peanut butter and molasses. This is what got my iron levels good for birth, not meat. I would often make banana, molasses and peanut butter sandwiches (no butter dairy is not good when eating for iron, half an hour either side with dairy to help with absorption) Dairy is great for development of the child as well though.... but what I am getting at, is that there are options that are easy on the gut and doable to keep that iron good :) 3. I craved salad throughout my first pregnancy, and my daughter (now 32) still loves a good salad. Love watching your journey and pregnancy suits you.
I'm so incredibly happy for you and Alex! ♥I was also obsessed with bananas during my pregnancy, altough I DETESTED them before. Someone told me it's because they have a lot of magnesium as well as sugar
Having followed you since the veggie patch days in LA, this is the most amazing news! I’m 26 weeks today and having a baby girl too! I had a crazy vivid dream too but before I got pregnant that I was in labour and my partner turned to me and said “it’s a girl” 🥹. The mind, body or spirit (whatever is at play here) is incredible! The lightning nips are too real 😂. Thank you for your honesty, hearing your story is helping me so much and I can’t wait to keep following along on your journey. Sending you, bubs, Alex and Lanka so much love from another mum to be from Aus xx
Such a lovely video, so exciting for you all. I wonder if the nipple pain could be Raynaud's which is a weird circulation thing where you get sort of spasm-ey pain. Usually in hands but quite common in breasts in pregnancy and breastfeeding. See if they are better for warmth/worse for cold? Hope you continue to feel better throughout your pregnancy ❤
Wow, what a nice vlog, big congratulations 🎉 to you. I am currently 8 weeks and extremely bloated and gassy since week 5. Naesia is at its peak now, any tips you could share with me to deal with those experiences.
Today I’m officially 7 weeks pregnant and I found out a week and 2 days ago cause I went to the hospital for a uti and they did a pregnancy test and they told me I was pregnant! I literally had ZERO inclination that I was pregnant cause I’ve been tracking my cycle and ovulation with test strips and according to my test strips I didn’t even ovulate the month I got pregnant so it’s not even making sense to me lol. I must’ve ovulated before I started testing that month that’s the only explanation I can’t think of. So this pregnancy is a shock and totally crazy to me but I could NOT be happier. Pretty much the only food I can seem to keep down rn is lemons with salt. That has been my weird craving lol. Definitely craving salt in general so even though I’m hoping for a girl judging by the heart rate and my cravings I’m pretty sure I’m having my 3rd boy lol. I’ll be happy no matter what it is though. I find out in 3 weeks!
I don't know if you are interested in how pregnancy affects the brain, but Mother Brain by Chelsea Conaboy is such an interesting book! It is also just a reassuring read :) I just finished it and highly recommend it!
I have been feeling constant back pain since I ovulated and I feel it a lot on my left side i am wondering if it could just be from ovulation or if it can be both! I an 5dpo now
The not using skin care thing is not that crazy. Retinoids are not supposed to be used while pregnant and they are in lots of skincare. I dont know if it is specifically prescription strength retinol though.
Does Alex feel like a love struck teenager too? I wonder if men get those similar hormonal changes. Also I know you probably don’t find it funny being nauseous but I love that you included a clip of you gagging hahahah I found that so epic and kinda laughed. I hope you’re feeling better now
My first pregnancy I also had constant nausea and food aversions. My husband made me a grilled cheese which I was excited for right up until I smelled the butter and nope, couldn't do it. One day I hadn't eaten much because nothing sounded good and I felt sick. My husband ended up getting himself some butter chicken and garlic and cheese naan bread for tea and when I saw the naan bread it was the only thing I wanted for the rest of my life 😂. Later in the pregnancy I was just all about carbs. Only thing I had in common across my 3 pregnancies is at the beginning of each of them before I even knew I was pregnant I went off eating meat; so when it happened the third time hubby told me that I was pregnant so to take a test, he was right lol
So I couldn't find right info but can someone confirm if this is pregnancy signs? 1.( idk if it's my period or implantation but) I had extreme bad cramps which never happened in any of my periods, I even vomited twice which never happened but the second day wasn't painful at all 2. My stomach feels hard all the time 3. Sometimes I get a headache suddenly
The gagging 😅😅 At least you know that once you give birth the nausea will be gone, I have extremely sensitive stomach so even the tiniest amount of stress or an hour less sleep make me wanna jump into a pool of omeprazol😂 Nausea aside, I am so happy for you and Alex, this will be one very lucky baby for choosing you as her parents 🥰
aww you did have a ruff time but yay nearly half way i totally forgot about the boob thing and i was the same i felt both implanting on both pregnancy and knew before test its weird people say its not common but i know a few people who have felt it too and love your cute little bump you two are going to be such wonderful parents
Congrats.....fancy a long time experiment? Give your daughter marmite spread on a rusk when she is teething. My theory is that this concoction gives long term protection from mosquitos in adult life❤
😮currently suffering confirmation Monday suspicious symptoms not usual and uncomfortable nothing is good enough except garlic infused olive oil plus cat being extra affectionate
As soon as I got pregnant I craved Thai Chinese Japanese foods. My son adores these now and I wonder whether he was somehow making me eat those things 😆 🥢 🍱 🍣. Frying onions smelled like sh*t to me and made me gag! Coffee smelt like cigarettes 🚬 🤢
Thanks for acknowledging those of us who can’t have kids, or struggle with infertility. We are always so happy for you mammas even if it brings out emotions. ❤
Ily thank u for this comment!
I was trying for 7 years and I am pregnant . It’s surreal. I had high prolactin levels and was confirmed to have issues so I was extremely surprised.
@@dyvonniemorgan2977 I had to have a an emergency hysterectomy so my hope is gone.
I can’t have due to medical problems that I have and most likely my kiddo would also have had if I would have kids. I am now 43 and it still gives me so much emotions if someone tells me they are pregnant. I am happy for them for sure of course but I still would like to be in the same situation if that makes sense…
Continue trying God will favor you in Jesus Christ name.

I feel like I was also told that any pain wasn't normal in the first trimester, but I had implantation pain and then light cramping up until 11 weeks.
I had nausea at 3.5 weeks! Took a test and just knew. I didn’t feel anything until 6 weeks with my first child. So strange how different it can feel.

My top food in the first trimester has always been cutie oranges. Like 10+ a day.
Love this video and so excited for more!!
Thank you, Carrie!!! ❤ I think i'm going on weeks 7. i haven't had a pregnancy test, yet this time, but i do remem feeling nausea a couple weeks ago.
This is such an exciting time for you and your whanau. Congratulations 🫶🏽
Thank you so much!!
Such a beautiful video, Carrie!!!❤
Wow, what a nice vlog, big congratulations 🎉 to you. I am currently 8 weeks and extremely bloated and gassy since week 5. Naesia is at its peak now, any tips you could share with me to deal with those experiences.
OMG in the first few weeks postpartum, I had separation anxiety about being in a different room from my husband.
This great video Carry.❤ You look beautiful. 💖 Glad you are feeling better. Lots of love 💖💖
Thanks so much
I watched until the end! Very excited for you ❤
Thank you! 🥹🫶
This was very dear, Carrie. ♥
I'm 12 & 2 right now and I literally can't believe how similar so many of our symptoms were/have been hah!
wahhhh still here at the end!🎉congrats🥰 hoping for some baby dust for me💗
I have been feeling constant back pain since I ovulated and I feel it a lot on my left side i am wondering if it could just be from ovulation or if it can be both! I an 5dpo now
Your looking radiant Mama I hope you will have a very healthy and happy pregnancy hi daddy Alex
The not using skin care thing is not that crazy. Retinoids are not supposed to be used while pregnant and they are in lots of skincare. I dont know if it is specifically prescription strength retinol though.
you're a real one for putting in the clips of you gaging haha. I hope you are feeling better now!
Hahahha omg the gagging thing! Seeing that clip brought me right back because I experienced the exact same thing first trimester
Im pregnant I had 2 very dark lines on the pregnancy test. I’m 4 weeks.
How did you test hcg level? You mentioned numbers
You are a really good speaker (:
This is by far my favorite video I’ve watched of these kinds
So happy to hear that ☺️🤍
Does Alex feel like a love struck teenager too? I wonder if men get those similar hormonal changes. Also I know you probably don’t find it funny being nauseous but I love that you included a clip of you gagging hahahah I found that so epic and kinda laughed. I hope you’re feeling better now
Did you ever have spotting?
Happy for you ❤️ beautiful mama
It’s so crazy that you said soup cravings because I’m currently 5 weeks and I literally want soup, idc what kind of soup, I just want it! lol
How did you know what your hcg was every week?
Because we had experienced loss in the past, they were monitoring it
So I couldn't find right info but can someone confirm if this is pregnancy signs?
1.( idk if it's my period or implantation but) I had extreme bad cramps which never happened in any of my periods, I even vomited twice which never happened but the second day wasn't painful at all
2. My stomach feels hard all the time
3. Sometimes I get a headache suddenly
The gagging 😅😅 At least you know that once you give birth the nausea will be gone, I have extremely sensitive stomach so even the tiniest amount of stress or an hour less sleep make me wanna jump into a pool of omeprazol😂
Nausea aside, I am so happy for you and Alex, this will be one very lucky baby for choosing you as her parents 🥰
Thanks
😂😂😂 loved that part’ essentially boobs getting ready to become milk machines’
aww you did have a ruff time but yay nearly half way i totally forgot about the boob thing and i was the same i felt both implanting on both pregnancy and knew before test its weird people say its not common but i know a few people who have felt it too and love your cute little bump you two are going to be such wonderful parents
Thank you so much 🤍
Congrats.....fancy a long time experiment? Give your daughter marmite spread on a rusk when she is teething. My theory is that this concoction gives long term protection from mosquitos in adult life❤
I still have brain fog from pregnancy. It never went away lol My kids are 17 & 19 yrs old now😂
Just FYI bananas are hugely constipating so just keep that in mind! LOL
Ive read that it depends on the ripeness level they are at
its actually opposite..they ease stools
😮currently suffering confirmation Monday suspicious symptoms not usual and uncomfortable nothing is good enough except garlic infused olive oil plus cat being extra affectionate
As soon as I got pregnant I craved Thai Chinese Japanese foods. My son adores these now and I wonder whether he was somehow making me eat those things 😆 🥢 🍱 🍣. Frying onions smelled like sh*t to me and made me gag! Coffee smelt like cigarettes 🚬 🤢
That dream was God letting you know
yes it was 🩷
❤
Selamat yaaa.....
❤❤❤❤
🤰🙏🧡💛💚💙
Still here lol
Enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing your amazing journey.
