Boy! Some great talents have crossed this stage through the years! I recently saw a conversation between Guy Penrod & Mark Lowrey, and they were remembering the great times they had with this group! I've never heard anyone say a bad word about them. In fact, Russ Taft is very open about them helping him through his alcohol addiction. So when you see the tears flowing down his cheeks while singing - they're real! 💖
Saw David live in concert on March 22. It was fabulous! He premiered "Dead Man Rising" at the concert. WONDERFUL! Thank you, Lyle, for sharing this wonderful collection of faith-based videos for our Easter celebration!

Lyle - DUDE!!!! You STEPPED UP your game this year!!!!! I actually had your other Easter specials playing (several times!) today after church, when I was cooking - what GREAT music. I finally stopped and searched for this year’s and it didn’t play until 5p (Florida time ☀️😎🍊) . Just got back from a family thing and played it while I cleaned up the kitchen. WOW!!! It’s obvious that you put a lot of time and thought into the selections this year - and even connected them as you moved song to song and introduced each one! WOW!!! It is literally a 30-min testimony of the Gospel!!! PLT! 🙌🏼

My Pastor growing up had this hymn first every single Easter Sunday. I can sing all the verses from memory. As I got older and started singing in the adult choir (age 12) we processed into the sanctuary singing He Lives before our Eastern Cantatas. David’s rendition is THE ONLY ONE I will sing/listen to other than the actual traditional hymn.

Nice selections, Lyle! A nice departure from past years, a little different! My favorite is the Isaacs doing, oh now i can't remember the name, i know who holds my hand? FYI - they had recently lost their grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, and Becky, the blonde, had lost a baby just a few weeks before taping this. So, they really meant it when they sang that song!

I've been waiting for your special Lyle. Nobody puts these things together to my liking like you do. I'm so excited this Friday to be seeing the Gaithers. First time. I've seen David before and now I feel blessed to be able to see Bill with the group while he's still touring. What an icon he is. My only wish is that I'd taken my grandmother to see them before she passed away 20 years ago. She'd have just loved that. She played the piano at our church so she breathed those songs. I guess I'll just have to take her with me this time if you know what I mean. I smelled her perfume when we were watching David so I knew she was with me then. When we were meet/greeting with David after the concert I mentioned it to him and he looked at me like I was nuts lol. Anyway, Thanks for another precious Easter together Lyle.

Superb Lyle! Great progression of the death, resurrection, and the everlasting life He gives! Might be fun next year to find some songs from the week before Christ's death and progress through that way. I know you've done The Night Before Easter and Maggie Beith's song He's Still My child, but oh my gosh a couple of my favs for this season (any season really) and how they makes you feel (and not just hear) what Mary and the others went through. Lyle, I finally got to listen to the Easter Special today! You did a superb job on it this year!!! (I honestly did miss you talking about each song after we listened to it, but that is okay!) You packed a lot of content in, you tied them all together, beginning to end - you truly did a fantastic job!! I will certainly go back and listen again! I was driving, so I didn't get to see the screen the whole time. I did hear some new songs and groups, so I'm anxious to go back and see if it shows the song title/artist on each song as it played. There are two sets of three siblings in this video. At 23:37 are the Isaacs. The woman singing lead is Becky. Her sister Sonya and her brother Ben are singing harmony. At 32:33 are the Martins. Joyce is singing lead. Her sister Judy and her brother Jonathan are singing harmony.
