Not silly! It's an open-source tool which means you copy all of the code allowing you to self-host it for free. (I mean technically free because you'd need to pay for a server). If you're not super technical, then it's not really going to be an option though, and that's where you would just have to pay for it if you want them to host it for you (like how most apps work). Does that make sense?
