Stunning, killer, kick as sacred machines. I am agree totally with Lyle, unique world class ones. From Bogota, Colombia a big salute, so sad by not having got US visa yet, and enough cash to be there, at front raw. American pride Mopar, for ever, guys. Thanks
Thanks man. Awesome video. Wish you did more but i know time is crazy. Every Day there seems to be a little less of it. Anyhow....... Thanks for the video. It's awesome just like the rest of yours.
In 1967 I bought a 1966 Dodge Dart GT 273 cu 4-BL 4-speed 3.91 positraction dual points I never raced it but always wondered what the 1/4 time would be. Perhaps mid 15 and upper 80s... What do you think?
lw216316 Probably mid to upper 14's ET and mid 80's to low 90's MPH. I based it off of original published Drag tests. The Dart they tested had 4.89 gears so I adjusted a little for that. This is the link to the website roadtests.tripod.com/
Probably dead on dude, 14.80-15 82-90 mph realm. If it ran really really good a buddy of mine had some later heads and a mild cam 274 474 purple shaft he ran 14.0 with a one legger burn out down to 60ft mark
Anybody have a car like this ? How much would I need to do the suspension with torsion bars to run my 70 dart swinger into the 10s its gonna be a low deck motor and I'm not sure if I want to run an auto. I'm leaning heavily towards a manual.
@@67cuda38 I did notice alot of people standing fenceline. It was a show as well. People were likely going back and forth and when thry came to the drags they stood by those fences getting up CLOSE to the cars.
The average person can't relate to this level of car build compared to back in the early days when everyone run what they brung..you could run out and buy a hemi, throw some slicks and a few tricks and be just as competitive as the next guy, making it interesting for all. Hence, participation. MOPAR OR NO CAR !
@@stevedurham5023 I agree 100% steve. That fire and passion is not there to that degree. ItS there SOMEWHAT and these YOUNG guys like it and are learning BUT it does seem like we started younger, got crazy into much faster and because of that....... Noticed the real potential of those HEMI AND MAX WEDGE CARS ETC.. MUST EARLIER. THATS A GREAT POINT. I MISS THOSE DAYS. HELL, THE COPS IN CHICAGO on Archer ave and in " Back of the Yards" used to let us run , adjust our carbs, timing whatever we needed right in the parking LOTS of any businesses that were used for all the people sitting on their cars watching all of us run. Of Course all of them were closed at the time. We ran from 11:30 -1:30. We would be careful as we could and they respected that. Its like we knew the power and damage the cars could do but at the same time what a RUSH!!! These young guys/girls have powerful cars and SOME actually drive and work on pretty good BUT THAT SAID....... alot just do not get the feeling we did. There idea of a good time is not a dragstrip but a car show and burnout for people with cameras. Anyhow... Glad there are people today that " get" it. It's too good to pass up and before you know it..... It will be gone again. They are living in a great time. Hope they take advantage??
Awesome. Nothing like the class of a MOPAR.
