    Speaking of the math used to describe physical theory: We humans tend to ignore a fundamental property of complex numbers: They lack order. 5i is neither larger than nor smaller than -5i. Yes we can do absolute values and other math tricks to impose order (sometimes motivated only by our human desire to impose order on all things), but (-1)^1/2 is neither more nor less than zero. It's just different, with an infinite variety of differences possible, but without order.
    That means any physical property which needs complex numbers to describe it, the imaginary components lack order. Have no first-last, have no larger-small. Only on the average can they give the illusion order exist. Just looking at the world that way, quantum mechanics becomes an "of course it's all probability waves" and entanglement becomes a necessary consequence.
    Any lifeform that existed solely in the complex realm would see our universe as a subset of its own -- like we would view a complex maze that a tiny mouse is expected to understand.

    I have come to the conclusion, after living over 70 years and reading many "hard science" books, is that our ancestors were right. Life is a separate force, just as we currently believe gravity wells are a force, electromagnetism is a force and the nuclear force holding an atom's protons & neutron's together is a force.
    When Michael Creighton wrote "Life finds a way." he was writing about how we can recognize the Life Force.
    Must every force have an anti-force? Gravity doesn't seem to, but some think it might. Electromagnetism, with positive and negative forces and North and South poles, is a very visible example of a dance of force and anti force. What happens within atom keeps getting more "layered" and complicated, but again it's a dance of different things. Maybe not anti-each other as we macro creatures tend to think of anti forces.
    Then matter and anti matter -- which again just might be a very slow dance of the universe as a whole swaying between first now, then later one or the other being the predominant form for most of the matter in the universe.
    Likewise life and not life might dance between the two, continuously, both in the rock you hold and your hand holding the rock. There is something that would eliminate all life if it could. There is something outside this reality that would make all things conscious (alive) if it could, that must work hard to punch through to ignite a life spark. Once through, one spark can ignite another spark, but -- like a forest fire raging -- even a massive life igniting can be extinguished.
    What is the first igniting? A living consciousness deliberately observing the world and by observing creating it? But does that mean it, too, was created by a greater consciousness? But then that implies the universe is layers of greater and greater igniting wills just like the nucleus seems to be an endless line of "fundamental" force-particles. That the correct translation of "as above so below" should have been "As beyond, so within."

    The terms "observer" and "measurement" is the biggest issue in quantum mechanics, because it implies consciousness. That was never the intention and Schrödinger's cat is actually a paradox addressing that issue. It doesn't make any sense to assume, the cat is both, dead and alive, until observed. The full paradox extents it to an assistant, observing the cat in a totally isolated lab. Does the superposition translate to the assistant? Do cat and assistant share a superposition, until Mr. Schrödinger opens the door? What if Mr. Schrödinger uses the intercom from and adjacent isolated lab? Is the wavefront a local phenomenon? What if the assistant is lying? Is the cat dead in one lab and alive in the other?

    • @collectYaNeck
      @collectYaNeck 17 годин тому +1

      The thing is, is the cat is detached from our perception of “knowing” anything. Life/death is binary. I always thought Schrödingers cat is a lazy and irrelevant subject.
      It’s like saying when a bear smells a cooking steak, both the experience the bear brain sends has of smelling the steak, the feeling its brain causes, exists equal to the particles the steak gives off as smell and that are the same as the physical steak.

    • @ggg-ox3hr
      @ggg-ox3hr 16 годин тому +2

      Schrödinger’s intention was to show exactly that measurement requires an observer. Lex then takes this idea and extends it to the philosophical realm and concludes that simply having an observer implies consciousness. ( he calls it an illusion). Because Yes, the laser is technically the observer but who placed the laser there in the first place?

    It seems pretty obvious that once the universe obtained a state where energy slowed to a point where particles/time emerged consciousness also emerged. I see it as remnants of excess or absorbed/entangled/shared energy or the lack of acceleration or even lack of expansion that governs all of these descriptions which are all the same thing. The cosmos has the original consciousness and local consciousness is becoming more complex but ultimately has a feedback loop to base universal consciousness that is not static. I think most people know this to be true just all language limits us by not being able to share this feeling outside conventional reality coherently. It probably doesn’t need to be explained but shared through stories and experiences.

    The mind understands the things of the brain, the brain understands the things of the body, the body understands the things of the Earth, the Earth understands the things of the mind; mathematics lead by way of the word, the word (written, spoken, body language etc.) reveals by way of reduction, the reduction follows the route of the math...
    ... gifts - tools for us to find light and spread light. It's that simple. Without us, less information is accounted for...
    The word is like a rainbow, always alluding to a gold pot but never revealing it. Math is like the pot of gold, yet never free from the "rainbow" (or order) of the word. The two have a nature that, when exercised by a mind undisturbed, harnesses the things of the aether. That means looking inward, and where ethics come in... That's the point of "free will," in that it isn't about choice, but *intent. We contend with things of the lower realm to access awareness and learning. Poor attention to lower things leads to less light/understanding...
    Treat this star and each other well. There is no other way.

      @@davidrichards2113 Those are two well shared theories among Humans, however, we must first ask- Aren't these theories also simply being rationalized by a being that only has access to less than 1/billionth of the available information? If the Electrical system breaks down, where does the energy go? If it is a Sprit, that moves on, what energizes it? More questions arise and the cycle continues.. For the record.. We only know what we know, by comparing it to what we know we don't know and soon we discover, We don't know much of anything, even about what we know ; )

    • @redneckhippiefreak
      @redneckhippiefreak 5 годин тому

      @@Jcs57 If the energy is only converted into metabolic activity, great but.that conversion rarely stops...it continues on well after Death. We are made up of more Bacteria than Human so, when does the Human ''death'' matter at all? The maggots, worms, and bacteria convert the stored energy of the body,, then plants use their stored and converted energy to grow and turn into dirt...The dirt uses that energy to grow fungus and those in turn help form salts and Rocks and those make up the Earth, which is converted yet again by the Gravity into magma and all of the above is converted once again into its the elemental forms that build every life form on this planet. So, that only raises another quandary into when that "Conversion" would actually be completed and where does the human and bacteria become one or separate entities? So, even if we answer the first part with ease and say the energy is simply converted, that does not address the Consciousness part, which, in our reality, is in fact the most mysterious question of them all. because, in the absence of a consciousness, we have no way of questioning anything at all and would thusly, discover nothing.

  • @pdxmusl1510

    Ok. But take your temperature example. Our experience does not match reality. And when your trying to understand reality. Our experience doesn't matter. If we did science based only on experience we should shut down all gama, xray, and infrared telescopes. And we'd stop all learning.
    My point is we didn't forget the meaning behind the measurement. We realized the measurement had significant meaning to the fundamental ways the universe worked. And that that meaning isn't natively meaning to us. And that we needed ways to describe these reduced elements in a way we can understand. Which is our processes. We didn't loose it. We discovered it wasn't about us.

    Nothing he said suggests any kind of magical thing behind consciousness. There's absolutely no evidence suggesting consciousness, or personal experience, is some magical or special thing beyond the physical. We just think it is because we have it. Of course it's interesting and we should study it, but thinking we are some miracle beyond the physical that needs a special explanation is completely subjective. Besides, the word consciousness is an ill-defined word.

    I think there's something this gentleman is omitting entirely which could actually answer his conundrum about groups which either glorify or ignore "sciencism" and address the experiential nature of WHY we study these categories within the scope of experience- GOD.
    Look back over the last 1500 years or so. While I'll be the first to admit that it has its ups and downs, a huge proportion of the work done to explain the natural world & processes came from the Catholic Church. Most of the men studying mathematics, cosmology, physics, and the other natural sciences were party of the Catholic Church. They didn't do this to try and disprove God, in fact it was the exact opposite.
    They understood that God is a rational being who made the laws of nature in a way that we could observe, inspect, and describe. God makes no contradictions, so His Creation will also retain that fundamental principle. These men were both honoring God and trying to gain a better understanding of His work through the use of scientific processes (both observational and theoretical). To dismiss this outright is IDENTICAL to the objection whereby some people dismiss science as described shortly before this timestamp.
    Also, I am 100% opposed to the conclusion of the "observer" causing wave function collapse in quantized systems. There is a very good reason why we see both waves and particles in the Double Slit experiment. In order to measure these quantized particles and their location, we HAVE to add a device between the slit and the detector. This device also MUST add some type of energy into the system to identify the position of the quantized particles. This addes energy gets added into the the wave-function and causes a type of interference whereby it collapses to definite values and then presents attributes like a particle.
    There is no "retro-causality" or time travel. These quantum systems are NOT communicating faster than light. This is one of those fields that's overflowing with miscommunication, pseudoscience, lies, stupidity, exaggeration, misinderstanding, and replacing real data with "Woo-Woo" nonsense. Quantum physics is an incredibly cool field of study, but we understand enough about it today to where none of these silly conjectures or false claims should have any influence in the scientific community.v
    ... and yet...IT SOMEHOW STILL DOES

    Please let's get me on your show with this man right here. I think he's someone that would understand exactly exactly what I'm trying to share with you. So think of the thing she's talking about about a measuring things and the problem of coming up with something that more than one perspective can agree upon and understand as a measurement and that is the root of reality in itself because all things are measurements and and when there is nothing there in the first place no landmarks no person to do the measuring and no tool like a clock or a tape measure or some other thing then the very first measurement must always be made arbitrarily and from a subjective point of reference in other words it must just be a guess or a a sudden decision or just reacting to the circumstances one find one self Within. But this is something I like to use to demonstrate the fact that the plank unit is not a limit it is just a reset point because when you're talking about size that only matters when you are within time and space because the universe itself can shrink or grow infinitely and there is nothing to say that it can't because there's nothing to measure it against. No matter how small the universe gets there is no telling that it's that small because there's nothing to measure it against and all the time and spaces within it anyways. Will accept that it's within a larger universe itself because every universe is just a particle basically. So once you set up the measuring point and all that then you can start measuring it empirically and with objective results. And he's on to something talking about hot and cold and the fact that we decide what hot and cold is but there's one thing about thermal energy that we don't decide and that's what temperature absolute zero is because absolute zero is the lack of thermal energy it's not a subjective arbitrarily decided gas like hot and cold or opinion like hot and cold is literally the absence of thermal energy and that's a magical thing right there. That's just like the real numbers in the bank account I can show you guys a very special and brand new way of doing mathematics that no one else has ever done that are completely brand new that I'm creating if you guys would just listen to me

    Actually the mistake you were making just like everyone else is, whether materialistic or idealistic, is the idea that paradoxes must be avoided and neutralized hidden and denied as if they don't exist because logically it seems that many of them cannot yet the very fact that you can talk about it means that it can't exist at least much of the time. The most fundamental problem is the inconceivable fact that at the beginning of reality at the most fundamental root cause of all things you find one of two things no matter how you look at it. First off you either have nothingness or you have Infinity. There's nothing in between except number and us. Then once this is established you can think of the next paradoxes being Chaos and Order in Randomness and and deterministic and Free will and Destiny. For almost every pair of opposites in a duality especially ones that are in paradox there is a simple solution bye just turning The Duality into a relative Duality or a special kind of terminating Duality that allows you to carry on in a different setting kind of like when you're keeping track of your bank account with real numbers and how this allows you to get by the fact that you can't have negative dollar physically in your wallet. Yes you can still accomplish work and pay your bills and transfer energy and do many other things in this universe with the real numbers even though they are not really part of this universe and there are many identical tools like this and one of them is the speed of light. Paradox must be reconciled and solved not avoided and this is the reason we even have an arrow of time and Consciousness and why there's anything existing at all and I'm creating a new type of mathematics that I call Paradox mathematics that will help mankind move on to the next level of reality I need help because I have no platform and No One Believes me but I am 100% write about this. And I'm not a physicist or mathematician so for someone like me to know that I'm right about this that means it must be very simple to understand it just takes a lot of explaining
