Dance of White Darkness 1994/5

The story of American avant-garde film-maker Maya Deren and her journey to Haiti in the 1940s. Initially to film voudon dance, Deren became increasingly drawn to voudon, eventually become a mambo, a female priestess. These sections show Deren's experience of possession.
