Yeah for real, I actually really appreciated how Ajay addressed that and told people to cut it out. It’s so evil to make fun of a person when they’re at their lowest.
She's so slept on. Her songs always have a strong message, always real, always raw. Her vocals have been amazing since she started and only got better through the years yet people still diss her and call her untalented as well as make fun of her for her weight issues and other problems she's faced. I have been a fan of Demi since I first saw her on Barney when i was 5 and I've been stanning her for the past 14 years and I will never stop. She is my inspiration and idol because she never gave up even when life was tough, she made it through this and she talks about it and I needed to hear everything she went through to know I'm not alone and I pray that someday people will stop sleeping on her because she deserves so much more than she gets. Also for all the people who say this is autotuned, in her whole career Demi literally hasn't lip sung, she barely uses backing tracks she rather have a live choir. She has an amazing technique and vocal control that allows her to sihnd exactly like the recording and if she cannot deliver something due to vocal strain or anything else she wont and that's how you know she's really singing. Plus Demi always opens her mouth extremely wide while making facials when she has to go higher and it would be hard for her to imitate that when lip syncing
Nice to know I'm not the only one out there most people I know been there for 4-5 years me I've been there a month shy of 14 years I've been watching and I will never walk away

The reason her song sounds so raw in the audio version is because she didn’t want to “perfect” a song that she cried for help in. You hear her pain and emotion through it. She talked about it in an interview!!
I had never heard this song, until I saw the performance on UA-cam, maybe a week after the grammys aired. I knew Demi could sing, but DAMN, this was flawless and so raw. As soon as she decided to restart the song, I was in tears. Much respect to her for having the courage to restart a song AT THE GRAMMYS and for having the guts to choose a vulnerable song like this. I loved this reaction!!

I don't want to hear any excuses, their vocal ranges are on par, both have charisma ,and have the same empowerment message. Even though their voices are high they both have a different sound. Ari is more fluid and light ,very lovely in my opinion, and Demi is more loud, powerful and emotional. Both are sharp though and hit great. This song is my anthem... I struggle with addiction and rn Im good (and plan on being good) but fuck if this song isnt exactly how I've felt before. *God bless Demi Lovato.* That line "i feel stupid when i pray" made me cry like a baby when i first heard it *Edit;* thanks for all the love
Maybe it sounds odd coming from a stranger, but I'm proud of you. I have a friend who is getting better and been sober for 3 months and counting now. I'm glad you had the courage to be open about it here.
This song is epic, the emotions, and the pain you feel, you can just really relate from all the pain and Demi is truly a brave soul to have the courage to even sing it
The fact she made this song a few days before the her life was almost taken away broke my heart, she is a strong, talented and deserves all of the love She is my biggest artist inspiration
the thing with the studio version is that it's virtually raw, i mean is as unedited as you can get in the studio, just a piano and her voice, without any effects, and that's why it sounds like a live performance!
I mean you can hear that they've used some qualizers to make it sound clear and sharp, but I'm so glad they've let out the unnecessary stuff like autotune or distortion/effects.
But that's so rare nowadays. I was confused to, because the last two sentences are the same, even though she was nearly crying!! But yeah, makes sense.
Her hits on the note when she says "one" are just a little sharp... maybe even slightly off pitch. But, this song is amazing and I love her. I bought the song the second it came on google music 💘
I mean if you listen to her other music they don’t put much affect on it especially the ones that mean something they do a bit but she’s literally so talented they don’t really do much
Demi: singing Ajay: music is back! YES AJAY, YEEEEEESS!!! I’m so glad my girl is back and healthy showing the world her gift in so emotional way! I just love her and your reaction hit my heart as well, I cried along side with you! thank u!! ❤️
This year, 2020. We hope real singer can show them up and back with big shout, Demi, Adele, Rihanna, Lady gaga, and Sia. I'm waiting them to come back. Honestly im being tired and bored of too many rap and whispering vocals.
She was so serious at the end when she said “standing ovation” while looking at the bottom of the screen like forcing them to stand. I was tearing up til this moment and then i started laughing whats wrong with me lol
This reaction video was everything I hoped it would be and somehow so much more. I didn’t know much about Demi until about 18 months ago when I happened to see a trailer for her Simply Complicated documentary. Her truth and rawness saved my life. I took my last opiates that day, have lost 70 lbs and am back at work. Her music was there for me when I needed it....I needed “Anyone” to help turn things around and that anyone was Demi. I have so much love and respect for the artist and vocalist that she is and am so grateful that Ajayll sees it too. Love to you all!!
Recording this song just four days before she nearly died. I can’t listen to this sing without sobbing. It is so powerful. Her voice, the lyrics, the backstory.
Demi’s performance was the best performance of the night. Literally made me cry. She’s been through a lot since a young age and I’m so happy she’s continuing to fight even when she falls, she gets back up and keep trying🤍
@@shookbitch123 Nobody is trying to force you to like her, but if you have any empathy and common sense, you should respect her for being able to slay this performance after going through hell.
i feel so proud of myself that everytime demi "loses it", i never made fun of her or turned my back on her. because i know she will come back stronger. i love this girl so much.
This is literally your best reaction I’ve ever seen, it made me so happy to see how excited/emotional you got over Demi. She’s my idol and seriously saved my life. I’m so glad the world is hearing her sing again.
Honestly she sounded better than the studio version. Every second of it was live, no background singers, no lip sync. Pure vocals! Pure emotion! And she's one of the few singers who have never lip synced in their entire career
This Grammys were really sad, personally I felt a lot of emotions, from Koby Bryant's tribute to Demi's performance, it was really hard to watch her in such a pain. She is a real artist and it breaks my heart to see how many good artists go trough depression, but this proves how strong a person could be, just like Demi. Hope she is better now and this performance was so touching and beautiful ❤👏👏
Demi was The G. O. A. T. at the Grammy's on Sunday💯 I am in awe of her ability to stand up in front of her peers and perform this song that means so much not only to her but to everyone who has been or is still struggling with addiction. I cried the first time I heard the song and I continue to cry every time I hear it still. I can relate to Demi's cry for help in those dark days before her overdose. Thank God she is still with us and gracing us with her beautiful voice ❤️ Stay Strong, Demi ✊🏼 You are a survivor and a warrior 👆
I've LEGIT never clicked SO fast! I cried watching this, and gave her a standing ovation in my living room. I've seen her perform 3 times in concert so I always knew what she was capable of but it was so incredible to have all the haters get proven wrong after this performance on such a HUGE stage. I'm so so proud of her!!!
She did an interview with Zane Lowe and said that the version that got released was one take, 4 days before her overdose. She didn’t retouch it after she returned, because the emotion was too real for her to try to be technical 😩♥️
This for me was one of the best live performances I have seen. And I think because of the nature of the song, lyrics etc how raw and powerful it is that it would have felt wrong to alter it in anyway on the track and is best she sang it raw without any remastering etc. takes a strong person to perform a song so personal like this not just live but as a comeback. Goes to show you don’t truly know what people are facing in their lives. Be kind. For the hate you spread today could have ever lasting effects on someone you know nothing about. There should be no room for hate. She deserved the standing o she got and more. An inspiration to have gone through what would be her darkest days and sharing it with the world.
She said "I'm ready to watch the video now" My first thought was... No you're not ajay.... I don't think any of us were 😭. It's such a beautiful song and it just proves that demo is authentic, she's raw, and she's human. Which sometimes we can forget. Great video. I'm excited to see what the future holds for our demi.
This woman is incredible. She rose like a phoenix from the ashes of her past, ready to start a new chapter! She has all the respect for being so raw and true. Love her so much! And I am beyond proud!🥺❤️
Demi could always sing. Even back on Disney. She’s always had such a powerful voice. She’s very underrated and it’s sad that some people be underestimating her because of her past.
Kyla Hearts for me it has nothing to do with her past or her voice. Her voice is amazing but I just don’t like the kind of songs she does most of the times. Songs like like a skyscraper were amazing tho
Yeah she’s a true powerhouse singer, however her voice in recent years hasn’t been at its best & that’s because, I can say now, 100% definitely cz of the drug use. Same exact thing happened with Amy winehouse, same with Whitney. Now that she’s off the drugs her voice is back to its “skyscraper” days quality. This girl has been fighting her drug addiction since her late teens & I really hope history doesn’t repeat itself a 3rd time.
Demi has got to come back to this video and watch it whenever she feels down. This well deserved hype is everything, from the bottom of all lovatics’ hearts, thank you. ❤️
Ellen Fan Channel she is not a good person. she always inserts herself into things and then when she gets called out, she cries. She doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut as well.
This performance snatched EVERYTHING off me. Demi, you DID THAT. Nobody channels raw emotion into their vocals the way that she does. I love her so much 🔥❤🔥❤
She recorded it 4 days before the incident . In an interview she said she used to listen to this song in the ICU and she promised herself she’s gonna sing this if she ever came back to music that’s why She left the song unedited against all the perfectionist parts of her With all the cracks in her voice With all the tears in her voice She wanted to send a message She wanted to tell people how she felt and what she has been through She connected to everyone of us This songs isn’t about charts or albums or new music era She’s tired of being silent and neglected This is a “ plea “ For everyone of us Demi Lovato is the real shit She reignited music She’s the angel of vulnerability and rawness Thank you AJayll for reacting to this it means a lot 💖
4:50 was literally me in my room clapping as if I was at the Grammys in the audience. Demi has always had such a way with putting so much emotion into her voice while singing and it just make you feel something.
The record don't have editing... she wanted to released it like that, when she recorded 4 days before the OD. That's why she sounds live like that. Demi is AMAZING and I hope she keeps fighting like that every day of her life.💖
I watched her documentary. Hollywood kids just have really f***** up lives. She's grown so much as an artist, and seems to have grown as an individual and that's what I admire about her. It's reflected in her music too.
Demi conjures up all of everyone's pain in her voice. She truly feels when she sings and that's what makes her so relatable on top of being an incredible vocalist. The grit in her voice is so spectacular
It's because both versions were extremely emotional for her to sing thus the rawness and honesty in her voice... we always knew she is an amazing singer that can hit incredible heights with her voice... but when an artist puts her true emotions into it... it's truly perfect we dont care about anything else. #ShookByDemi
I was bawling my eyes out watching the performance and hearing this song for the first time. Not a single person in the industry comes close to emoting on the level that Demi is. 😭❤️
It's a shame that nowadays people always ask is this live?? Not many people sing live this generation apart from Demi Ariana Little Mix Lady Gaga Tori Kelly Camila Beyoncé and Jessie J. Demi slayed this SOO HARD and I love u Ajay ❤❤❤
Personally I think it's a returning phenomenon. Gaga and Beyonce use a lot of backing track in my opinion depending on the song and choreography. But conveying emotion is a rarity. Demi, Adele, Jessie J, Camila, Kesha (Rainbow and after) are great. I don't know a lot of Little Mix or Tori Kelly. But a lot of the girls are live singing...not always to their advantage but they try. Not all but a larger number than the 00s, early 10 girls were.
@@rainbow.fr0g Camila Cabello is sick live just cause of her falsetto. First Man at the Grammys is now my fave emotional performance by her. And I love any Living Proof performance

This song is my anthem... I struggle with addiction and rn Im good (and plan on being good) but fuck if this song isnt exactly how I've felt before. *God bless Demi Lovato.* That line "i feel stupid when i pray" made me cry like a baby when i first heard it
*Edit;* thanks for all the love
Maybe it sounds odd coming from a stranger, but I'm proud of you. I have a friend who is getting better and been sober for 3 months and counting now.
I'm glad you had the courage to be open about it here.
I’m so proud of you! It’s an everyday battle that I can’t even imagine. You are so strong. Keep fighting. You are loved.❤️
This song is epic, the emotions, and the pain you feel, you can just really relate from all the pain and Demi is truly a brave soul to have the courage to even sing it
@@siddiqueummer6647 thank you!!! I'm not ashamed of my past and I'm so proud of the future I'm creating for myself

The fact she made this song a few days before the her life was almost taken away broke my heart, she is a strong, talented and deserves all of the love
She is my biggest artist inspiration
the thing with the studio version is that it's virtually raw, i mean is as unedited as you can get in the studio, just a piano and her voice, without any effects, and that's why it sounds like a live performance!
I mean if you listen to her other music they don’t put much affect on it especially the ones that mean something they do a bit but she’s literally so talented they don’t really do much
Honestly screaming and crying is the only acceptable reaction to her performance
Demi: singing
Ajay: music is back!
@Gargi Bhowmick Tbh, yes. imo, i agreed for her 3 grammys. But for best pop vocal album, meh. Sorry billie, ily. but for this one, i choose Ari.
She was so serious at the end when she said “standing ovation” while looking at the bottom of the screen like forcing them to stand. I was tearing up til this moment and then i started laughing whats wrong with me lol
She should get a Grammy next year for this performance!

demi is an inspiration both musically and by just hearing her story. truly powerful woman🥺
I love Demi Lovato, but, can we just talk about AJayII's honest reactions, god damn, I subscribed. She seems so real and honest!
Demi is one of the most UNDERrated artists ever and she NEEDS to be recognized!!!!
Josh Douglas you’re joking right 😭 she’s one of the most known artist globally
inspecter Being known is definitely different of being recognized. She doesn't have the recognition she deserves
Taken my daughter see, in concert (three times), her since she was small. Now I think I'm a bigger fan of Demi than my daughter!!! Ha ha ha
"How does she sound exactly the same singing it live, with the record?!"
We, ladies and gents, call that talent!
I am so proud of you!!!
Riley Ingle Thank you so very much! That’s so sweet of you!!
Your story is so inspiring! Proud of u
Recording this song just four days before she nearly died. I can’t listen to this sing without sobbing. It is so powerful. Her voice, the lyrics, the backstory.
I understand what you mean I can't even see through these tears
Demi’s performance was the best performance of the night. Literally made me cry. She’s been through a lot since a young age and I’m so happy she’s continuing to fight even when she falls, she gets back up and keep trying🤍
We stan a vocalist. Not a singer, a VOCALIST! 🎤💚

i feel so proud of myself that everytime demi "loses it", i never made fun of her or turned my back on her. because i know she will come back stronger. i love this girl so much.
This is literally your best reaction I’ve ever seen, it made me so happy to see how excited/emotional you got over Demi. She’s my idol and seriously saved my life. I’m so glad the world is hearing her sing again.
Spoilers: AJay being the most supportive individual for 15 minutes straight
Thank God she is still with us and gracing us with her beautiful voice ❤️ Stay Strong, Demi ✊🏼 You are a survivor and a warrior 👆

demi said that the record there’s no production on her voice, that’s the reason the sing in the same way in the live version 💛
there is production on her voice, just no tuning.

I really want her to react Unbroken Album. Omg.

Yes pls ajay
In my opinion the live version was way better than the studio version. I was in shock too.
Demi Lovato is one of the best vocalists of her generation. She’s amazing.
She said "I'm ready to watch the video now"
My first thought was...
Mad respect for Demi! She's singing while crying and that's on TALENT! She don't need no excuses.
"I can't take her crying right now so I'm trying to stall" i felt that.
demi established herself as the vocalist of the generation with one performance. the power she has
I just remembered the "sang off-key to my chorus" 😂

@@user-pi5zx7nv7g loll go watch her reaction to selena gomes lose you to love me live on the Amas and yoll know
Demi could always sing.
AJAYII WITH TEARS IN HER EYES:
it was good.
only Ajay can make me laugh and cry at the same time
Demi is irreplaceable. I adore her for her strength, vulnerability, but damnnn this voice man 🤯
Demi has got to come back to this video and watch it whenever she feels down. This well deserved hype is everything, from the bottom of all lovatics’ hearts, thank you. ❤️
She is phenomenal.

Lovatic ooop ... i don’t like her... not a bit ... but i can’t take her talent away and thats it
Richard Swift why tf you don’t like her. I mean she looks so down to earth and beautiful
I love her so much 🔥❤🔥❤
5:38 Ajay was speaking facts about addiction. Demi's so strong for speaking about it and what she went through. Absolutely amazing.
She recorded it 4 days before the incident . In an interview she said she used to listen to this song in the ICU and she promised herself she’s gonna sing this if she ever came back to music that’s why
She left the song unedited against all the perfectionist parts of her
With all the cracks in her voice
With all the tears in her voice
She wanted to send a message
She wanted to tell people how she felt and what she has been through
She connected to everyone of us
This songs isn’t about charts or albums or new music era
She’s tired of being silent and neglected
This is a “ plea “
For everyone of us
Demi Lovato is the real shit
She reignited music
She’s the angel of vulnerability and rawness
Thank you AJayll for reacting to this it means a lot 💖
4:50 was literally me in my room clapping as if I was at the Grammys in the audience. Demi has always had such a way with putting so much emotion into her voice while singing and it just make you feel something.
Kyla Hearts same
Watching this in 2023 & 😭😭😭 I love this song & I still watch reactions...yours was THE BEST I'VE SEEN ♥️ Happy Holidays
The record don't have editing... she wanted to released it like that, when she recorded 4 days before the OD. That's why she sounds live like that. Demi is AMAZING and I hope she keeps fighting like that every day of her life.💖
Guys! This could've been a horror track. Imagine her recording this, then dying 4 days later. We'd all blame ourselves.
I'm so glad she came through. That's on God.
Naim Hastings no we wouldn’t all blame ourselves because most of us had nothing to do with it
@@reneepeters5051 God had a really plan on her
I watched her documentary.
She's the definition of talented performer.
I've seen that performance so many times and it stills makes me cry.
She's that good.

It's because both versions were extremely emotional for her to sing thus the rawness and honesty in her voice... we always knew she is an amazing singer that can hit incredible heights with her voice... but when an artist puts her true emotions into it... it's truly perfect we dont care about anything else. #ShookByDemi
She's most definitely one of the best vocalist of our generation

you know demi lovato is a good singer when people watch her live performances and keep wondering if it’s actually live when in fact it is
I was bawling my eyes out watching the performance and hearing this song for the first time.
Speedy Comet16 camila??
and halsey
plus adele and sia of course
