  • How will the state subvention for capital repairs and construction of shelters in schools be distributed this year? We will talk about it during the online presentation "School shelters: new rules for the distribution of funds."
    One of the main tasks of the Ministry of Education and Science is to restore students' access to high-quality offline education where the security situation allows. The key condition for this is the availability of shelters in schools. Therefore, this year the government increased the subvention for it’s repair and construction to UAH 2.5 billion.
    At the event we will talk about innovations in the use of these funds:
    🔹 a new mechanism for obtaining state subsidies for arranging shelters in educational institutions;
    🔹8 typical projects for building shelters that can be adapted to different educational institutions and reused (they were developed together with UNICEF and the Buffett Foundation);
    🔹updated "My Fortress" platform, where all projects and detailed information about shelters in schools will be collected;
    🔹the DREAM platform for the selection of construction projects and overhaul of shelters.
    We invite heads of education departments of RMA, heads of education departments of regional centers and heads of community education departments to join the event.
    Key speakers include:
    🔸 Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine
    🔸 Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine
    🔸 Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine
    🔸 Andriy Stashkiv, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine
    As well as representatives of the DREAM recovery platform, UNICEF Ukraine and the Buffett Foundation.
    The event is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
