aerobatic behaviour , those guys always : exhilarating take offs ( cigarette flights ) , one weekly flight at the time , mostly on Teusday morning , departure before noon
Patrick the old club have what it takes to push flying to higher heights. Love to see those classics moving forward mate. Wonder if the engineers thought these planes would last so long, they probably feel proud if they are still around. They remind me so much of the DC8 from the 60's, Air Canada had a whole bunch of them flying many routes transcontinental and intercontinental, those were the days. The B767 and B787 are DC8 replacements. Air Canada's market volume in that niche is the same for about 60 years. Patrick have a great weekend and catch you on the next flight.
Forget the civilian airliners. Imagine the face of the designers and engineers who worked on the B-52 when you tell them that the plane they designed and expected it to last maybe three or four decades would fly for a century. Grandkids and even great grand kids of B-52 pilots flew the exact same plane that their grandfathers flew almost half a century ago. Crazy to think that the last B-52 pilot hasn't even been born yet.
Heavenly !
Lovely to see these great old aircraft! The Tu-154 was a special treat, being my favourite airliner. 🛩 💜 🛩
