Mark was in town for a headlining weekend at Hilarities and came to discuss being back on the road, producing/recording his own stand-up comedy special, "Out To Lunch" which, at time of this posting, has 4-million+ views, his recording content while traveling, and why he feels he may still need a “hook”.
Mark meets Rick’s SuperDad and unpacks his own paternal relationship and makes sure Rick appreciates his dad (perhaps a custom Marshall Carpet One & Rug Gallery commercial will show a little appreciation?)
They connect again over the comedy math they share and give Patreon a great exclusive Q&A of listener's questions.
Rick manages to give the gift that keeps on giving.... again, Mark gets to finally meet the goblin, and they recreate the intimate scene from his first TYSO episode.

Eye contact seems THREATENING to me sometimes if it’s nonstop; like judgmental or an invasion of privacy sometimes. News shows and job interviewers overuse it and it’s overrated.
@@Protectobot yeah you just don’t get what people mean by eye contact then. Yeah obviously you don’t stare unblinkingly into someone’s eyes for 45 minutes, but as conversation ebbs and flows you hold eye contact during key points. I could go on but anyways figure it out?

‘Weird thing is, most Americans w/ German last names that I meet are Jewish! Maybe cos Hitler lost WW2, he wasn’t as successful as ppl thought! Besides: if you’re German and Jewish, why be ashamed of your German heritage?! I like comedians like normand who can go between coasts with their comedy and they work with clean and dirty people. I think its because he has a voice & cadence of a sports announcer and the content of a jay oakerson. His dirty content just kinda slips right in there.
I feel like this was the season finale. Ripper of a show and in store, golden idea! Please do more Mark next year.

At first I wouldn’t watch Rick Glassman, because I didn’t understand, and I think subconsciously I didn’t want to understand, his type of comedy. I thought he was a weirdo, but seeing these two together, made me change my mind. I’m starting to become a true fan of the “Take Your Shoes Off” podcast.
