J (Will Smith) and K (Josh Brolin) draw information out of an alien (Lenny Venito) by bowling with his head.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Men in Black are back, and this time Agent J (Will Smith) must take a trip into the past in order to save both the future and his taciturn partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) in the third installment of the hit sci-fi comedy series. After 15 years of working with aliens from all across the cosmos, Agent J is sure he's seen it all. But just when he's getting the hang of the game, he learns that history has inexplicably been rewritten. In this new timeline of events, Agent K has been dead for 40 years, and Earth will soon come under attack from an extraterrestrial force with the power to claim the entire planet. Now, in order to set the past straight and head off an invasion of epic proportions, Agent J must travel back to the year 1969, when Young Agent K (Josh Brolin) was just a fresh new face on the force. But Agent J only has 24 hours to find the source of the coming catastrophe and discern how his longtime partner ties into the situation -- should he fail he'll be stuck in the past forever. Jemaine Clement, Alice Eve, and Emma Thompson co-star.

I kinda feel like him cuffing Jay in the car was a test - if you're really my partner, you should know where I keep the spare. Then when he does, the playful 'lucky guess' followed immediately by 'you bowl in the future?', it all seems too perfect for him not to have been testing him lol
agree
Ok
valid point
Still though. Young K couldn't possibly know where he'd keep his spare handcuffs key in the future or if handcuffs, handcuff keys, and cars with ashtrays even exist in J's time
@@notaverypopularchannel4878 Yeah, the commenter is just trying to be edgy.
J's casual reaction to the alien head rip off should have sealed it for K he was an agent with MIB.
K: I never taught you to bowl, that's why you're so bad at it.
😂Good Comment
I've once managed to do what he did with the bowling pins but only once. I felt very elated.
I used to Bowl Here on Friday Nights. Great Bowling Center. Van Nest Lanes in the Bronx. Sadly, i heard rumors that it closed down around COVID.
Those aliens seem like they know a guy
Bit of advice, don't look into the neck hole. Man those suction cups make me have some serious tropophobia.
When the effects of the third movie are worse than the first
That's intentional. These aliens are supposed to invoke the stereotypes of aliens from 1960s sci-fi portrayals.
Call it what you want. These are just shitty visuals.
@@Peter_S.Woldrich Still an enjoyable movie.
Severus Versus again
That was the point. When J first arrives at MIB HQ in the 60’s, all of the aliens look like rejects from 60s Star Trek. Compared to
The first movie where cgi and better makeup abounds.
I don't talk about design. I talk about visual effects. Two different things.
1:37 LMFAO !!!!! 😄😄😄😄😄
One mistake in the movie the pins wrong pin Not USBC approved logo should be ABC approved logo cause they are showing a vintage bowling alley
"MIB League champion"
This makes me think a bowling alley of a bunch of people in black suits bowling and no one asks any questions
With the money that they pull in from patents, they could probably buy their own bowling alley and staff it with friendly agents and aliens needing a gig.
I’m a mechanic at a bowling alley
If some suits walked in with cash, and said set up a tournament no questions
My boss would
If they payed extra and tips we would clean the lanes before they started
(I can clean 28 lanes in 48 minutes. Oil, dust, and spot check) They are paying customers, leave them alone lol 😂
I would be very surprised if MIB headquarters don't have their own bowling alley where they hold intergalactic tournaments.
they have a bowling alley at MIB base
I would think the winner would be the quickest draw on the neuralizer
That's actually a pretty hard spare to get, especially if the ball is a head.
It's considered one of the hardest shots in the game.
@@Firehawk376 goood ole 7/10 split
"especially if the ball is a head" -- how many times have you tried it with a head? Maybe it's easier.
@@boredlawyer3382 It might help a bit with getting weird pin action, but the fact that the head is not a smooth sphere is going to make it go in unpredictable directions, making it harder to land that perfect shot.
I can see why Jay is the current MIB League Champ.
“Key under the ash tray”
“Lucky guess”
*mental note, ensure key always stays under the ash tray*
Never really thought of it that way. Bootstrap paradox
Honestly, I'm pretty sure K is just that rigid and regimented XD
He forgets any of this happened so the key stays there
It bugs me that J says "still" keep the key under the ashtray, when he should have said "always kept" the key under the ashtray, since this moment is in his past

oh yeah theres no denying that Josh Brolin was born to play the role of young agent K im believing it right now.
MIB I: K is the leader.
MIB II: J is the leader.
MIB III: The two are now equals.
Mach Dude well in the first one k was looking for his replacement 100 employees and jay a rookie is a level 5 clearance agent over everyone
Even though one of them is younger than he was before
Mach Dude K and J are not equals, J still outmatched K in many ways.
I like your profile picture.
Connor Clemmons Explain That. Don't be lazy.
I honestly don't see why people hate this movie. And Josh Brolin is seriously unappreciated as younger K. He's fucking phenomenal as young Agent K.
People hate this?
Steve Vigilante yeah everyone I know liked this movie.
This one is about as good as MIB 1. At least it's way better than international lol
Never heard a lot of people say they 'hated' it. Actually didn't hear anyone say they hated it.
I find myself thinking the same thing Steve said.
The villains might have been lackluster, but MIB is mostly about the humor, parody, and action.
J: "You still keep the key under the ashtray."
K: "Lucky guess."
Talk about denial.
Pretty sure it was a test, and he just brushed it off nonchalantly
I love their style of bickering.
J states a fact which is obvious to both of them
K just says no
Rinse and repeat
"You still bowl in the future?"
Rhetorical question, but now trusts him enough to let him help interrogate.
"Lucky guess" isn't a denial, as much as he's willing to admit it, _just not openly._ It's the only mechanism he can think of, _besides_ him being his future partner and knowing that personal crap, to have liberated himself from the handcuffs, so that's what he's going to lead with as a paranormal investigator:
J just picked apart the car in boredom and, "lucky guess," started with the ash tray, whether K believes that or not (he's believed him since he shut off the neuralyzer), he's still not discounting it.
@@landonletterman831 Yup. I can't remember if it is explicitly stated in the movie but as soon as J told him the truth, K believed him and was listening, but in a stoic way.
"You still keep the key under the ashtray."
......what if K just happened to keep the key under the ashtray that day, and because J mentioned it, K decided to keep the key there for the rest of his career?
Not only that K only likes country so when he was singing to that song it’s because of jay
Bootstrap paradox 🤓
Fun Fact : This is actually the same bowling alley that’s in GTA IV
Many of the locations in GTA IV & V are based on real places. :)

"Low Hanging Fruit" is just amazing
That particular shot is considered the hardest to hit in bowling. Even champions don't like that spare setup
I can see why
Yeah, the seven-ten split is about as bad luck as you can get.
Actually the 5-7-10 is considered to be most difficult, according to the PBA. There is not a single record of any PBA pro converting that split on the tour, and very few examples of pros leaving behind the 5-7-10. One rare example is from Chris Barnes, when he was in Europe.
It’s not the hardest spare to get in bowling
I agree, it's a bummer one. I believe it's called a split if memory serves
I love how unflappable K is. He just rolls with whatever happens as if he was expecting it.
Josh Brolin as K was UN - FREAKING - BELIEVABLE. Not even an academy nomination ? WTF ?

7 10 split happens if you bowl in a straight line, very common actually most common. You need to hit at a small angle to make pins knock over other pins.

I remember when they shot this scene near my house. All the kids used to go to this bowling alley during our field trips and stuff. Looked different when we would go lol, must of renovated it for the movie. My old substitute teacher's dad owned this bowling alley. He even showed our class some pics of him and his dad with Will Smith while they were still shooting. I remember a bunch of us getting to meet Will Smith outside and thinking how cool it was.

Lol
He sounds like he's underwater, it cracks me up.
Josh Brolin is an excellent actor
And Tommy Lee Jones is FAAAR too good to be de-aged
Casting a new actor for a younger version of an established character is always a great opportunity to hone in impersonation skills, and Brolin hit it out of the park with this one. That's how it's done.
J and K, MiB will not be the same without you two.
I watched this movie when I was 12 and I absolutely loved it. 12 year old me didn't know who Josh Brolin was, despite having seen _The Avengers_ a year prior, but I did know that he captured everything about K perfectly. Like if I didn't know any better, I'd've thought they actually went back in time to get a younger Tommy Lee Jones.
Watching it nowadays...
I still really like it. Josh Brolin definitely steals the show in every scene he's in. As he should, as this is a movie about K and his one failure.
Also, it's not as bad as some other MIB movies. *cough, cough* _Men In Black: International_ *cough, cough* I'm sorry, but no amount of Chris Hemsworth's ungodly handsomeness could fix that trainwreck.
Even LIAM NEESON couldn't save that movie from mediocrity.
Fun Fact: this scene 1:55 , that shot is very hard to hit

the great thing about this is that J and Current K had a lot of chemistry and the way they made younger K character and how Josh Brolin acted, the chemistry was still there, it's amazing, they look like they've been partners for a long time even though young K doesn't even know J for more than a couple of hours!!!
1:53 makes me die laughing every time he says it
We all agree that this is where the MIB franchise ended right?
"Perfectly balanced as all bowling balls should be"

One of the most amusing moments in Men In Black series, including the dialogue: "That ain't the finger hole, you sick b@stard."
If you listen to this scene with your eyes closed, you'd think you're hearing Tommy Lee Jones.

I'd like to point out both Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones were both in No Country For Old Men.
Meeting your younger self sounds like it has the potential to send rippling effects through the space time continuum, causing a cascade effect that could destroy the entire universe! Of course that’s a worst case scenario, the destruction only be confined to our own galaxy. All of this is just a long winded way of saying that allowing them to meet should never have been sanctioned.
Since Josh Brolin had a crack at playing Tommy Lee Jones as a young man, I think it’s only fair that the MCU feature Doctor Strange going to the universe where Thanos snapped the world into his own image and then cast Tommy Lee Jones as Thanos as an old man.

Anyone else wish we could have had more movies with J and Young K? These two were great (not to knock Tommy Lee Jones, but Josh Brolin nailed it as a younger version). Josh Brolin could have done a US Marshals movie as a younger version of TLJ's Gerard from The Fugitive.
