The point of these films have always been about connection and relationships. Not about overarching plots and great alien enemies, but how we're a small part of a bigger picture. Maybe there is a grand scheme or maybe there isn't, but the universe is so expansive and marvelous that we'll never get to see it all, but we should focus on this life and this world. "How many times you flashy thinged that poor woman?" "A couple...." "Hey, K! Have you ever flashy thinged me?" "No." "I'm not playing! Have you ever flashy thinged me?" "No."
I love the Men in Black series. It's like the great fictional stories that teach great life lessons. The Men in Black serve to protect the world and expect the world to not know about it (Men in Black 1). These people are human, and they desire to be known/loved. But they understand their role, and through sacrifice, offer their love to save the world again (Men in Black 2). And, in this movie, remembering the past and what made it all special - while still sacrificing to save the world without desire of recognition, is real. Add that to all the other subplots and emotional pinnings, you have a fantastic series that could be watched for years and you'd learn something new each time - including the real chance that many of us could relate to a job that is very needed and underappreciated (MiB 1), a love lost for a greater cause (MiB 2), and learning a story that we never thought possible, but shaped our life to what it is today (MiB 3).
Dude.. hes "Living" in more dimensions. In Theory that means.. hes everywhere and everyone. He sees and knows everything. Time is nonsens for him, hes living on the outside of a space where he'd bound to our space and time. Hes not god, you could kill him. But thats like having a 2D being trying to fight your 3D body... well...
they can see into the future and possibility, doesn't mean they can change the future. They can manipulate reality into their desired outcome, but not every time. especially not against a whole species of boris
What about when K got neuralyzed in the first movie? Didn't that erase all his memories with the M.I.B prior? So technically speaking, K would never know that J helped him.
@@Joe-ss9is More interesting is that K knew he would work with J, so also knew the neuralyzer wasn't permanent. I see it as K's way of taking a vacation :)
Just such a great ending, no huge dramatic send-off necessary, just the duo back to work, cause the reveal of J’s father was enough, the reconciliation of these two was enough.2 was a loud, overblown, dumb mess, but this film had so much heart and thought put in, of course there’s the go-to question of “K said J wasn’t alive in 1968, J’s birthdate was 1975 in the montage in the first film” but i don’t really think it matters. Cause in a sea of evil bug creatures, terraformers, all assorted big bads and nasties we’ll always have the men in black. Good thing there were zero films after thing
I've done that once or twice. Especially if I'm running late for work and my food order took long to get to my table and I only had time to eat 3-4 bites before I had to leave in a hurry.
Fun fact: in scenes with large quantities of food like at the table during thanksgiving in a movie or a small scene such as this they dont always use real food Theyre just fake sponges made to look like food and such
I want to believe that k knew it when he shows up his watch, I really want to believe that he still remember the adventure he had with him 40 years ago.
The most powerful moment in all of film I have ever seen.....was the moment after J pulled out that watch and you can count the number of seconds K was just STARING at J for a long LONG time. Amazing acting. Just imagine what was going on in K's mind. He's having flashbacks. He's thinking, "THIS was my old OLD friend from long long ago, the man I respected. Here he is before me right now". Up until this very moment, J was the distant son he raised out of guilt and regret. AFTER this moment, J was no longer this child he mentored- now he was his equal, a friend, and potentially even someone K looked up to (because K was young back then - similar age to J currently, and their relationship in the past wasn't a mentor-mentee thing). It all came flooding back and he could do nothing else but stare in disbelief until he accepted it. This man is the SAME man from decades past but to him, he was talking to my past self hours prior and to me, it was a long long time ago.
I think this is the perfect ending for mib and even tho mib international exists it doesnt ruin it for me because j and k story is completed and they werent even cameos in international so i am still happy with this

Wow that really brings things full circle, especially with K getting J into MIB in the first place. Makes sense now.
Nice job writers, nice job.
Please Men in Black filmmakers, re-watch this movie and re-consider that stupid crossover idea between Men in Black and 22 Jump Street. This is how Men in Black should end.
They should cross over 22 jump street with mall cop
???????
orbison Crossover RIPD,MIB,22jump Street
The idea is good if done right if they don’t have J and K show up and just have Jenko and Schmidt join MIB to stop drug dealing aliens that way it doesn’t mess with this ending and just makes it a side project something that happened in the MIB universe that J and K had nothing to do with
orbison how about 21st Jump st and the other guys
In common sense, young K didn't forget that J traveled in time and everything he lived with him, that's why he realized everything when J shows that watch..... I think
I think you're right.
@@calowenby1654 And man, come on, if J could travel back in time to save K, he could travel back to meet his father and prevent his death.... But it's a movie so ....
Why does Griffin ending off the film with saying "That was a close one!" make me die laughing every time?
I'm not sure, but it does seem a bit out of place yet also _in_ place at the same time. But my explanation also doesn't really make sense, either.
@@101Volts Griffin is / was a great character motivated by a desire to see Earth stay safe.
A satisfying end to the trilogy😊👍🏻😎!!! I remember watching this ending back in 2012 aswell
Zacimus Prime Well, I wouldn’t be so sure about that because MIB4 is coming out on June 14th.

This scene was the most perfect wrap-up for a childhood experience.
Its does my heart well that K has been watching J all of J's life. A life debt K felt he owed for J's Father saving K's life.
J's father saved K's life at the cost of his own.
Men in Black is a really good movie. I enjoy it very much

Definitely
So that explains why in MIB 1 K told J he flashy thing him once or twice when clearly he did it once i the first movie,he was throwing hints
Yep it was supposed to be secret between the 2 of them cus K didnt want J to find out the truth cus if he did J would ask wat happened and well that plot line would change differently then wat we have here in this movie where we see J finding out everything on his own
"How many times you flashy thinged that poor woman?"
"A couple...."
"Hey, K! Have you ever flashy thinged me?"
"No."
"I'm not playing! Have you ever flashy thinged me?"
"No."
One of the best scenes in cinematic history 👏👏
MIB 1 and 3 still amongst the movies that i never tired watch it over and over again. the script, the plot the acting,.. it is just perfect
Leaving tips is very important. Waiters, countermen, etc., work hard and deserve that little extra gesture of appreciation.
Last MIB by legendary actors 😔
It’s a beautiful ending to the franchise. Sadly some greedy baskets doesn’t agree and defiled such classic.
I loved that guy at the end. must be cool to know all that happens.
"It's been my privilege". It's like K is waiting for him to find out, like a very great weight has been lifted.
I've never thought about it that way, but that's a good observation.
You go to 1:18 and you don't even see Griffin and then all of a sudden, he's there with a sandwich and everything.
he is a 5D being !!
Extra dimensional being. Or he just moved there from another seat.
Dude.. hes "Living" in more dimensions. In Theory that means.. hes everywhere and everyone. He sees and knows everything. Time is nonsens for him, hes living on the outside of a space where he'd bound to our space and time. Hes not god, you could kill him. But thats like having a 2D being trying to fight your 3D body... well...
Kaukus Anotherone The one thing that annoyed me is how could such a powerful race get wiped out.
they can see into the future and possibility, doesn't mean they can change the future. They can manipulate reality into their desired outcome, but not every time. especially not against a whole species of boris
K talking heartwarmingly is forever great
wait, if J helped K in the past, when J comes back to the future, then K must be know that J helped him right?
The concept of time in this movie is the weirdest
What about when K got neuralyzed in the first movie? Didn't that erase all his memories with the M.I.B prior? So technically speaking, K would never know that J helped him.
@It Be Like That Sometimes Ohhhhh yeah, forgot about that part, thanks.
@@Joe-ss9is More interesting is that K knew he would work with J, so also knew the neuralyzer wasn't permanent. I see it as K's way of taking a vacation :)
I think K knows J went back and time and helped, but theres no need to bring it up.
It was & will always be an evergreen & memorable series! So many emotions!
I'd say this is 1 of the best movie series endings ever.
Always hate it when they have food, leave and never even touch it. Come on!!
It only helps stimulate the brain for thought...or rather..food for thought ;)
Have you considered the continuity problems between takes if they ate the food?
Hit your marks...say your lines
Again
And again
And again
And again
Right!? J JUST got there! And already time to go. Smh
I've done that once or twice. Especially if I'm running late for work and my food order took long to get to my table and I only had time to eat 3-4 bites before I had to leave in a hurry.
Fun fact: in scenes with large quantities of food like at the table during thanksgiving in a movie or a small scene such as this they dont always use real food
Theyre just fake sponges made to look like food and such
I want to believe that k knew it when he shows up his watch, I really want to believe that he still remember the adventure he had with him 40 years ago.
I bet he does.
@@calowenby1654 The trilogy = 24 kt GOLD. MiB International = Styrofoam or RECYCLED PLASTIC.
Overall, K's been a father figure to J and looked out for him his whole life and didn't realize it until that moment.
The trilogy was so perfect. They end it on a perfect note. What a great trilogy it is.
Very well-observed, and very well-said.
@@calowenby1654 It's ART, plain & simple.
This reminds me of Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy a la the character development, even though they're different franchises, obviously.
It's awesome to see that K has been there guiding and protecting the child of the man who saved his life
K and J are the perfect bromance that transcends time.
Griffin is no doubt my favorite character in the entire franchise.
I think this is the perfect ending for mib and even tho mib international exists it doesnt ruin it for me because j and k story is completed and they werent even cameos in international so i am still happy with this

I've never realized the movie used green screens so much. It's a diner scene, what do you need a green screen for ?
RammusTheArmordillo Yeah when my friends and I watched them all back to back recently we noticed the first film is the only one that looks ‘real’. There’s so much green screen and cg in the second and third.
Theres not many retro style diners like these anymore and prop set up is really time consuming, modelling them is much simpler honestly and saves cost on props and put more money onto state of the art effects
It’s not green screen, it is enhanced depth of field made for 3D experience.
This movie went for a comic book style look.
0:06 i love when J see K sitting there waiting. The way i see it. It’s almost like seeing an old friend after not seeing them in years. Warms the heart
I love how the meteor is entirely dependent on whether or not he pays his bill.
It's not.
The timeline where K forgets meteor strikes the earth, So it is Correlation not Causation.
@@Arts11234 That makes sense but the fact that the meteor shatters into the satellite basically the moment he pays his bill makes me think otherwise but that’s just me.
@@doctorneotech7011in the film, griff makes it a point that millions of seemingly unrelated events can result in what seems like a miracle. K leaving a tip doesnt seem like it would correlate to the meteor, but it does and the reason why it does is known only to griff.
