Oh! So beautifully executed. The piercing glances and that smile on Ustad's face, he makes Ali feel his mehboob and he does it oh so gracefully. The nusrat influence is definitely very prominent here, I'd love to go through old nusrat concerts to find ustaad Ameer Ali Khan in them.
I am not religious, although i do come from a very Hindu family, but this recitation of God's name is damn charming. The thin line between pi and pir has been blurred and instead we find this beautiful recitation. Absolutely brilliant, glad to have experienced this.
Very good, really enjoyed it. Thanks to Arif Ali Khan it is due to him and the entire Dream Journey team that seniors like me, 9:49 who now hesitate to participate in Urs and other qawwali mehfils, get to enjoy top class Kalams sitting at home. Thanks once more.
