I got the medium. I have an Italian Greyhound. They have long legs, and I thought the extra room would be a good thing. I'm still waiting for mine to come, but it looks like a really nice crate not just for travel, but in general. We got the pink.

I have the medium version set up in my apartment and my dog frequently goes into it to chill out. I recently spent 8 days in a hotel and took the small version with me. It fit into my large suitcase and also fit under bench designed to hold suitcases. It was great. Two dogs, two crates. Yes these are a bit more expensive, but no more catching my fingers when I collapse the crate. They also set up and breakdown in half the time of a wire crate because you do not need to fight with the wire panels. It is well worth the money and I would buy another one again if I need another crate.
