I always loved the SA2 spindash when the camera is angled behind him in a way that the blue stream fills the screen. Or yellow stream if you're Shadow.
It's kinda wrong for Sonic CD. The original CD spindash only works by holding the jump button while crouching, and Sonic looks like his jump animation while revving up his spindash. The one you illustrated comes from Christian Whitehead's 2011 Sonic CD remake, where he included both the CD spindash and the Sonic 2 style spindash (which is shown in the video). Sonic 2's spindash is the default option, which you can toggle for CD spindash in the options (just like switching between JP/EU and US soundtracks).
