For all the flak the game gets, Sonic lost world probably had the best looking modern sonic spindash. Frontiers comes in behind it because its mostly just a combat animation.

The Spin dash didn't exist in 1991. It has only retroactively been added to S1 in re-rereleases. I wish they'd stop, having to build momentum was a core concept in S1.... even though it may seem annoying now.

You are wrong. The Sega Genesis game Sonic 1 does not have Spindash. Spindash only appeared in Sonic 2. Sonic origins does not count as the beginning of Spindash. If it's a channel that shows everything about Sonic, you should know about it. Emulate the Sega Genesis and put the Sonic 1 rom and you will see that you don't have Spindash.
