Thanks for the direction with FX Caster. I had been struggling with the proper usage of this podcast station. I'm going to see if everything works under your tutelage. THX again.

Thanks brother! These are also by ALABS! Theyre HW501s and designed specifically for studio work. They have a flat audio signal so you can hear the real mix minus any artificial artifacts or added Highs/Mids/Lows

Great video 😊 Live phone calls..is that a built in mix minus? Also is it Jack or USB cable to phone.

Great question, this would be through the 3.5mm ports Pod Out 1-3 and the 3.5mm AUX Port and the mix volume would be controlled according to those ports. This would show up in your final mix out as well with no extra editing, etc.

Hahaha they are actually one of the lightest pairs I have. They are wood, but lightweight! They’re studio headphones by ALABS so designed to be worn for long periods of time! The HW501s

@CoZChristopher quick question, I'm new to doing product reviews, I just did a review of fifines new tank 3 mic on my channel, would you be open to giving any tips for reviews in the future? If too busy I understand.

@@BacktotheRetroReview hahahaha I’m literally working on a review for that microphone right now hahahaha!! That is crazy!!
My approach is always to try and share
“if I was in the market for this product, what do I need to know in order to buy it?” “What are the pros and cons for my use case specifically?”
If I can answer those questions for myself, you’ll answer most ppls needs. You’ll never be able to cover all in a video that is limited to a decent timeframe, but if you answer that at the minimum you’re in a good spot.
For mic reviews. I usually use the mic as much as possible so they hear it naturally. Then I do at least keyboard typing test, plosives test, body/handling test. That coupled with using the mic throughout usually covers most scenarios. When it’s a new product line like this one, I’m adding in gaming example, USB vs XLR, USB tests repeated from XLR(minus gaming), and walk through of the three on body controls.
I’m an analytical mindset and so it takes longer to answer my questions which is why my videos can get longer sometimes. But, I speak to myself as Id imagine my audience will mostly be made up of ppl like me who need a lot of details to make a decision, but once properly educated and knowledgeable, make the decision quickly.
Lastly, I’ll leave you with this. Your style of presentation will change naturally over time as you do this more and more. But, keep your “reason for doing this” at the forefront and it will help direct your execution. I want to share info that helps ppl make decisions honestly and transparently. When I do a review, I think to myself “have I accomplished that” and that lets me know if im on the right track as I preview it before finally exporting.
Of course there’s a lot more that you learn a long the way regarding technical skills. But, from an intangible viewpoint, that’s my approach. That’s a great topic for me to cover on the next podcast episode. Thank you for asking that!!

Awesome review bro! Can you record a podcast session with the SD card with the mixer or its only for record samples for the pads? Thanks in advance my man!

    • @CoZChristopher
      @CoZChristopher  4 місяці тому +1

You can record an entire podcast to the limit of the storage card you have available. So it can record as long as it has space that can then be accessed directly.

Hey, great information! I do a podcast on Streamyard podcasting platform, and we record on Streamyard right to UA-cam. Does this caster support this?
    Thank you in advance..

Hey!! What are your thoughts on the mic? I've liked it, I thought it sounds great! Of course it's sensitive and picks up more sound than my typical dynamics, but I thought it was good.
I noticed on their page, they took the link down for the individual FX Caster listing. I am not sure if that will return, but I will ping them and inquire!
