With this race, the Olympic year starts for me as a viewer and this broadcast looks and sounds great. The NCAAs are easily one of the best meets in the world every year and an indicator of who to look out for afterward. I'm 66 and it's a dream to be able to see all the heats and all the finals and all the jumps and throws. In the 70's and 80's ABC crammed some of the meet with another sporting event, like bowling.
And to think the ATASCOCITA HIGH SCHOOL out of Texas ran a 38.92 earlier this year.

The Houston area always have fast runners. Dudes running 4.2 and 4.3 in the 40 yard dash in highschool. This was the 90s and early 2000s though. Idk about now though, I haven't been in tune as I use to.
@@IAMGulfKoastGangstaDon’t forget small towns too! A kid from my hometown is going to A&M for track/football, has ran PBs of 10.22 and 20.92 in the 100m and 200m respectively. Ran the fastest 100m at the state meet from 1A-6A. I don’t think Texas will ever slow down lol
@jwalker_25 yeah small towns have talent too but I didn't go to highschool in any small towns. I only spoke on me or others I've witnessed.
Running a 38 in high-school is like Running a 42 in college. Ncaa use lasers high-school self stop watch

San Jose state had the lead on the last leg and ended up 4th, Wowww, 1 leg away from possibly being a threat to win
the NCAA record is going down this week for sure
I would love to hear of ALL the teams who made it. These young people work hard to get there Stop announcing a select few, and identify all the teams. The announcing is horrible.
