OMG, this was so cool! I learned a lot and also got inspired by the chopping up audio part. Great video!

Definitely nice being able to adjust parameters using real knobs and buttons! I'm sure you can get a lot of unique sounds from the real time automation alone

100%! You can still be creative with plugins and automation in the box, but if you have the real effects, why not use them!
      Thanks for watching man 🙌

Fantastic video Seán! I just bought my first effect pedal and are currently having it as an effect for my hardware synth but will definitely be buying more pedals since it's really fun playing around and sculpting sounds with.

This is exactly the video I’ve been looking for! I use Ableton to record all analog gear and effects. Now I’m building up vst’s and sample libraries for composing, but want my hardware effects (including the Volante) to be of great use. Just wasn’t entirely sure what I needed to know in order to do it right. Thank you :)

Cheers for watching! Implementing hardware isn't always the best or fastest method of making music, but it definitely makes it much more fun and creative! I also LOVE my Volante haha

Hey, thanks for the video! How do you configured it so that you hear only processed signal with no dry sound? I switched DRY knob to dry. I'm just hearing dry audio from track i try to resample

I really enjoy using pedals as outboard gears in general. You don't see a lot of effects (delays, loops, granulars, pitch, reverb etc) in lunch boxes and racks and that's exactly where pedals come in. My personal fave is the microgasm by hologram.

Totally! Would love to get into 500 series gear for tracking (a few nice preamps, eq, compressor, etc), but guitar pedals are perfect for creative outboard. The Microcosm looks so cool! Would love to check one out at some stage 🤘

Great video Seán, thank you! I've got a similar set up but i'm now exploring how I can control MIDI-enabled pedals (like the Iridium) directly from Ableton by sending cc signals... have you played around with this at all?

I'm confused as to how the synth arp came out as stereo after the Volante?
I have these nice wide stereo sounds that get turned into mono through the pedals, I have no idea what to do...

What if we don't have an helix? I have a quantum 2626 interface

I use my pedals for everything. I Dj through them, run my DAW through them, and drums! JUST DO IT ALREADY!

how can i do this with fl studio/with a pc?

Usb interface which you can record all audio source but you then need this re-amp box or unit which will send your pedal source to a input of the interface which isnt on the same signal as your dry (vocal or instrument)

I tried to explain reamping my drum kit to someone, it’s a lot of talking.
You did a good job explaining reamping here.

should have on the end of your title, if you have helix and flashy exspensive pedals.

Next step: distort the f**k out of that drum delay return for maximum joy!
