This video is such a rad presentation of the feeling that is the music. A few gimmicky transitions here/there but the angles are fantastic. That upper/back crowd view is a real view. Feels good to watch it.
When I started listening to jam music, a quarter of a century ago, The GD had just lost Jerry and broke up and that left me with two jam bands I considered good and hundreds of terrible pretenders. In the interest of not offending anyone I'll refrain from naming those I liked and those I didn't but i gave up on the genre despite seeing such untapped potential there. thanks to UA-cam I'm discovering newer jambands and these guys are fantastic and gives me hope. The genre because a laughing stock to non jamband fans because of all the clichéd corny crap being put out. But this shit is rad. I really dig what I'm hearing.
It's not so much a ripoff as it is a tribute. And Memphis in the meantime is a cover so it's not like they are anyway trying to pass it off as original. I think it's they're way of covering phish without actually having to cover phish
