So I wasn't hallucinating an extra growl to the music. I would hear it every once in a while on the Gameboy and it would start in the middle of game play and go until I turned the GB off. Never heard the "growl" on an emulator.
Or I'm hallucinating it right now.

Originally they were supposed to get a fully colorized re-release on the Game Boy Advance under the name Mega Man Mania, but it wound up getting cancelled.
