    While jam uses the whole fruit, jelly calls for just the essence - the fruit juice. Jelly has no seeds or fruit pulp in it, and is completely smooth in texture. When jelly is made, the fruit is crushed to extract the juice, which is then strained to keep all the pulp and seeds out.

    Jelly is US slang for jam. First floor in the US is the same as the ground floor. Most US skyscrapers don't have a 13th floor, just like East Asian skyscrapers don't have a 4th floor. Both are superstitions.

      Jelly is made with fruit juice, where as jam is made with the whole fruit minus the seeds. And preserves have peaces of fruit in the jelly. 🍇🍓🍑🍊

    We did not dabble in Fahrenheit, it was the system used before decimalisation. Older people often can’t use Centigrade.

    It always shortcircuits my brain a bit when Brits say "half" something, because we have the same expression in Swedish, but for us "half ten" would mean 09:30, not 10:30.

    A lot of black people in America actually talk without Rs in their speech like some black people also say it like watuh
    , but instead their t is also omitted so it’s pronounced like “waduh” a lot of southern speech in general is pretty non rhotic like English accents

      ​@@briansmith48 Literally, nobody in Spain, files paperwork with the Month first, we still use Day, Month, Year for paperwork and its all still organized and easy to find papers. Literally makes no difference.
      I literally, just filed loads of insurance paperowkr yesterday, they all say 02/06/2024

    Actually the American way of doing the month day year makes sense because month is the smallest cuz it goes up to 12 then day is next cuz it goes up to 31 and year is clearly largest

      Day is shorter so you start with that DD-MM-YYYY. You could also do like Asians and start with the longest YYYY-MM-DD.

      @@reineh3477 we're not talking about going by the time we're just talking about the numbers. You have 12 months, 1-12. You have up to at least 31 days at most, 1-31. Then lastly, the biggest number is the year. So, if you go numerically then you get what I'm saying. But, I get your way if you go by time of day or time in general.

      its called being and living in a community; besides - how would you know if you are gonna get sick or not in the future? Better be safe than sorry. I'm sure if a person NEVER got sick in their life and was on their death bed they would not be thinking "damn I wish I didnt pay those taxes cause I never got sick!" liiikeeee ....

      @@briansmith48 thats ok, you pay 700 dollars for an epipen and thousands of dollars in insurance, if you can afford it, that is. I'm just here getting ambulances for free, cancer surgeries for 100 euros, blood work for 10 euros etc. Mwah.
