It's hard to say for sure without seeing you play. If I had to guess, you're probably not pulling downward towards the floor enough when doing your pull-offs. The more of a downward motion you have when pulling off, the louder the sound will be.

Hey! Tone first and foremost comes from your hands. Yes, an affinity Strat will get the job done. there are so many great, affordable amps these days...I recommend the entry level Marshall or Fender models.

I think you might be right actually...They did tune up a 1/2 step for a few songs....this might have been one of them but I can't remember for sure. I use a graphic eq on my amp, so it's hard to describe the eq settings.

With anything fast, set the metronome to click on the 8th note instead of the quarter note. Then, just start at a really slow tempo and make sure your slurs and subdivisions are perfectly in time before speeding up the riff.

Listen to the recording. You’re just playing how the tablature book for bleach, said to do, like everyone else tries to do. He’s not playing triplets, he’s playing 16th notes. It’s 10 1/16 notes, but you don’t do pull offs. You have to play each note individually. I just count like.ticka-ticka-ticka-ticka-ticka. It’s the same notes, just a lot harder to play than pull offs. Nothing better than how to video with a guy that doesn’t know how to.

just try pulling off between the first two notes at first. when you get that down, add in the third note on each string.
