Thank you Mothership for featuring Coach Gavin! He is a young precious coaching talent and FAS (or himself) should strive to seek opportunities (locally or overseas) for growth

Kudos to Mothership for these SPL features. Always felt the local media can do more to grow the sports. And nice to see all the positive comments. Looking forward to Rovers returning to OTH for their home games.

Singapore football is slowly starting to lure fans back..we may not have the playing style of the premier league but at least we can bring the vibes of the stadium all together in singapore supporting the local team

Yo @mothership, at 2:35 when Gavin is talking about the club playing continental football, that is a Singapore national team photo not a BG Tampines photo. Yes, Shah is a Tampines player but he's representing Singapore in that photo not Tampines.

I hope this guy will be our national team coach in the future. He is a great talent, we need to look after players and coaches as well.

No doubt he is the best coach in the league so far. He deserves to be the national team coach too. I believe he will take the national team to another level. FAS should give him the opportunity, we shouldn't rely too much foreign Coaches. Let's give Gavin the opportunity to lead the national team!

A coach that hasn’t played for a club, never played for national team. Yet he takes on that position, wonder how he took his AFC / FAS coaching licenses.

Being a good player does not mean that you'll be a great coach, and vice versa. Mourinho was an average player at best, still won many titles. Andre Villa-Boas didn't even play but achieved success with Chelsea etc etc.

Good player doesn't mean becoming a good manager.
I know this unfortunately as a man united fan

Maurizio Sarri didn't play professionally, yet still became a solid manager and won the Serie A title. Meanwhile, Neville, Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney were "legends" and look at how their managerial stint turned out.

Football is a business and nothing about meritocracy in this aspect. The local league is shambolic schoolboy level now. Nothing to talk or show. There is no real competition locally. A copy and paste coach that got in due to business link with jssl and tampines. When he signed he was only a b licence coach and the club rushed him for higher badges. They broke the rule stating to hire a coach they need to be A or pro licence. But all this was covered up. His dad was ex tampines rovers soccer schools and jssl coach. Now connect the dots and see how this happen 😂😂😂

Give interview with a weird UK accent but provide mediocre results. Nothing special, not even best in the league.
