@@kasity really lost his job two divorces, live with his mom ,a daughter that's hard to live with its pretty rough in the reboot as well
He never quit iCarly because he loved Carly and stayed for her. I guess he never gave up hope that she might have feelings for him eventually. He could have definitely done better than either of them.
