There breakup was EXTREMELY forced by Carly, she was so jealous of Sam and Freddie’s relationship is that she found a problem between them, AND even told them to just be friends.
I like the mirroring that during their first kiss Sam kept her eyes open awkwardly, and when Sam cofessed her feelings and kissed him again Freddie was caught so off guard he never closed his eyes

It just make me remember one of my fav episodes. Sam was anesthetized, at dentist, and she accidentally revealed to Carly about kissing Freddie. I love that one and they're my favorite example of "enemies to lovers"

That exactly what you should be doing as a teenager. But trying to throw a real relationship on top of it can be too much. They needed to sort themselves out first.

Freddie’s relationship with Sam made more sense than with Carly. The relationship with Carly felt forced. The relationship with Sam had amazing chemistry and felt so natural. Even when they fought it was a strong force that brought them together all the time. They didn’t have much in common as far as interests but the attraction was way too intense. I’m so bitter these two didn’t end up together.

After reading Jeanette’s book and how uncomfortable she was with that kiss scene, I find it hard to enjoy it as much now.
The “I love you too” line from Sam at the end was truly heartbreaking. You can tell that throughout the boyfriends Sam’s had, Freddie was the best one, despite the arguments due to their differences. That’s because Sam knows Freddie for a long time that he would never hurt or betray her behind her back. And even though they admit they didn’t click at the right time, it must’ve killed Sam that they had to break up knowing she loved him first.

I've just read that season 3 of the revival will be very Creddie-centric, which ought to please all Creddie fans. But I personally think Seddie was way better, such a beautifully crafted relationship, such an interesting dynamic, from its very beginning, and to watch it blossom over time was just a treat, and indeed it was time, with its slow and constant development, that gave it so much realism.
In the scene of their first kiss, right after they stop kissing, at 4:12 you can catch a glimpse of Sam's true feelings, feelings she was likely unaware of, as she looks at Freddie, before the camera cuts to him. It's just half a second long, but it's perfect. It all started there.
Well, with all this multiverse hype, we can assume there is a universe, somewhere, where Sam and Freddie stayed together.

Carly and Freddie were weird together anyway and Carly didn’t LOVE Freddie so it didn’t mater she didn’t like them together because they didn’t have anything in common and they didn’t hang out, so they broke up and remained friends. Freddie and Sam worked...for like 5 minutes.

Couples don’t have to do everything together. Carly completely sabotaged their relationship. (Not on purpose obviously. But everything they thought they needed to fix was from Carly planting seed of insecurity in their minds) Sam and Freddie cared about each other. They enjoyed spending time together when they could agree on something to do. And they had chemistry. Feelings and attraction are the only things you need to have a relationship. Everything else is secondary. They cared about each other. That’s what mattered.
I think after she saw Sam with Freddie maybe she finally caught feelings for Freddie and that’s why she was trying to sabotage their relationship lol

Carly might have been little jealous that her best friends were dating. Carly had a loving family, boys eager to date her and lots of friends. Sam had no dad, a rough relationship with her mom and no friends besides Carly. She put on a tough persona to protect herself. She put her heart on the line opening herself up to kiss, date and fall in love with Freddie. Freddie in turn loved her in a different way than he loved Carly.

I was in a relationship that was literally the same setup as this, and it did not work out at all, we argued all of the time, it was so toxic but I loved her. Unfortunately it resulted in a very bad break up. I ended up getting abused by her, physically.
Compatibility matters. Sometimes the opposites attracts thing works, and sometimes it doesn't. I know this was a kid's show, but the message sticks into realism. It's not as common to see relationships like this last.

I feel like Sam and Freddie kind of always did like each other a little but they never wanted to admit it.
You can definitely see progress headed that direction by season 3 maybe even late season 2. She still picked on him but also was a lot more endearing towards him
Only season 1 they genuinely didn't like each other. She was actually violent towards him back then. But after Season 2 you can tell they have a love hate thing going. Sam is no where near as violent and even is soft towards him at times and Freddie rarely says anything mean to her anymore.
