These are selected points in a first round Women's Doubles match at the 2016 BNP Paribas Open between the number one seeded team of Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza against the Australian team of Casey Dellacqua and Sam Stosur. Hingis/Mirza won the match in straight sets 6-3, 7-5. Both teams played a very competitive match but the top seeds showed why there were there. Hingis/Mirza however, were upset in the next round to the team of Vania King and Kudryavtseva.

I totally love Martina Hingis. I met her once at Indian Wells and she has just returned from her two year break and I didn’t even recognize her and I asked her if she in the main (draw) or qualifying. . . Well, she had sunglasses and a hat on. My buddy said, “You know who that was?” I said, “Who?” He says, “Martina.” I said, “That wasn’t Martina Navratilova!” And says, “Martina HINGIS.!” And I was like, “Oh, sh_t!” And went back and asked her for an autograph. She’s unearthly.
