Definitely crosby splitting buffalo's whole team and protecting the puck with one hand and then the strength and accuracy to put it in the perfect spot while still being pressured is remarkable to me shows his skill. Also Datsyuk pulling back the puck and flipping its over the blocker the amount of patience and finesse it takes is remarkable.

The craziest part to me is that he did it several times in his career but nobody else before or since has been able (or even thought) to pull it off. The Michigan has been shared, eventually the Michigan pass will be shared, but I’ll be shocked if I see Datsyuk’s move pulled off successfully again.

Your saying that picking the puck up and whilst doing that thinking “I’m going to throw this over the net to my teammate” or picking it up at full speed and throwing it into a net is not pure puck control, if you think that you need to go back to the basics bud I’m sorry

Ovi's was beautiful to watch but there was a lot of luck and many are doing the lacrosse goal now so it cant be seen as the most skilled. But I have not seen anyone score like some of McDavid's goals so his are the most skilled. Underrated because some rank it like 3rd or 4th best is the goal against Toronto when he went around Morgan I think. His awareness, speed, shiftiness, edge work, stick handling...was amazing. The goal against the NYR was amazing to but I think the goal against Toronto was better. It is one thing to shoot through a person but to literally go around him like a pylon while both were skating is something I have not seen before; not like that anyway. That was not luck or a gimmicky goal, it was talented.

Giroux has a bunch. Like the one against the Lightning. Or his backhander from the goal line against Columbus. Ovie has a few too. The one people talk about was more luck than skill. The one I like from him was the bank pass to himself as he spins the other way, then goes in and gets a sick goal on top of it.
Jagr holding the puck for like, 10 seconds, just putting the puck through all kinds of traffic then wrists one in. There's too many to count.

@@getsmarty7603 IMO, no angle really showed a definitive angle to determine whether or not it was a high stick, but you're mistaken. When it comes to a puck being batted into the net, the crossbar is the reference. Shoulder height is for if a puck is played with a high stick.
37.3 Goal Situations Subject to Video Review - The following situations are subject to review by the NHL Situation Room: (g) Puck struck or deflected into the net with a high-stick, above the height of the crossbar.

Again, Ovechkin is on just about every list there is in hockey. Top, 3? Top 5? Top 10? He is in there. No other player comes remotely close.

Hate to say it but these Zegras goals are so overrated. That michagan pass only worked cause sabres defence is as clueless as a peewee house team. The michagan goal was sweet but not even close to greatest of all time. You just need a little time and space.

Ah yeah time and space, thats why SO many people have done the Michigan in full flight like Z did. Its not about how difficult it was to pull off, its the skill required and the hockey sense to pull it off.
