Across world navies only the best men are selected for submarine duty. It's the toughest job in any Navy not only physically but also mentally. Imagine living underwater with no outside contact for 60-70 days in a row. Respect to the sailors and officers of the Indian Navy working in submarines.
Being an submariner thank you very much Rawat sir to highlight our tough and challenging day to day life among the common people highly appreciated you efforts sir !! Shau Nau Varuna 🙏🙏
i remember as a kid going wth my auncle inside the submarine, i was sick within 5 mins of going in it , and omg the engine room was jst hell. hats of to soldier's who stay in it for months .🍺
My uncle was the one of the 1st lot of submariners for Indian Navy when Navy got their 1st submarine from Russia in 1960s. Haven't had chance to interact with him much when I was growing up, but my mom used to share his stories & how just by seeing one of his pic with diving suit in iced up surrounding during training in Russia, my grand mother fainted. That life is one of the most extreme, I would say even more so than that of an astronaut. Infact far fewer people (I guess only 3 or 4) have gone to deepest part of ocean than even to space. I love Mountains & Low Oxygen High Altitude areas more than Deep Oceans. I know I would get sea-sick very easily, but not ironically enough, I have survived HACE during my EBC trek due to the difficult decision to turn back at right time.

My father was in the submarine arm. The life is tough and claustrophobic, but he misses it everyday. That’s one of the few forms where if something goes wrong it can be horrible death
Who are still curious about the last question ( quick demise ), they can prefer to watch movie " underwater" , in which accurate visuals are placed they are talked about .

Sir, at present we do not have nuclear submarine. We had taken it on lease from Rasiya. His time period is over. Therefore now it has been taken on lease between 2025 to 2035. She will come in 25. At present we do not have nuclear submarine.
Diesel-Electric submarines can deploy for only 2-3 months since it needs to be refuelled. A nuclear submarine can deploy for years together (if food is provided for sailors) since a nuclear reactor doesnt need to be refuelled like a Diesel Engine does.
India desperately needs Nuclear submarine. The only place where we lack with China is in aspect of Submarine Everything said by Foxtort is correct One more point I wanna add is Nuclear powered submarine is it is much silent compared to diesel powered
@@adarshrai11 Actually Nuclear subs are noisier since they need to pump in seawater to cool down the exterior of the nuclear reactor and pump the coolant water out. This process creates noise. Diesel-Electric Submarines with AIP (Air Independent Propulsion) are the deadliest submarines in the world. They are almost impossible to detect. If paired with a Pump-Jet propeller, they will make almost zero noise. Even the Americans have no response to an AIP submarine coming after them to hunt their battle groups. You can get 3 AIP subs for the cost of a Nuclear one. I think India should invest more into that.
