Display color may be available on the app. I have the 5200BT and the display color is changeable via the app. There are also other settings available on the app including a 31 band eq. All in all Im very happy with the features and sound quality of the 5200.
I've bought the D420BT today on a sale because the model is phased out by Pioneer (e.g. the Spotify Connect option doesn't work anymore for quiet a while). Unfortunately, you can't change the colour. I like the radio, it fits well on my car. No I need a few new speakers and the stereo is complete!
Thanks for putting this nice video together. I have bought a second hand model of this radio, but it did not come with cables. Now, I would like to use this nice radio box as an external amplifier, and hook it up to external speakers in my living room for some tests. Question is, how can I power up the radio? In other words, I cannot figure out the pins in the back of the radio for the power cable. My guts is telling me that you have an answer 🙂
If your having memory problems?? Then yes. The radio harness has bullet connectors in the middle of the red and yellow wires, simply pull them apart and push them back together but with red going to yellow and yellow going to red.
Hi, I just bought this exact same stereo for my golf Mk5, I've watched your video and your instruction are absolutely clear and very helping, there was a section of the video you cut out and that was how to run the wire from the stereo compartment to the fuse box, I cant seem to find anything on the internet anywhere, how did you do it?
Mine trips out every time I turn on the ignition. I have to take it out, unplug and re plug it in to get it to turn on! Tested in the wife's car and the same there. Common fault and mine is less than 2 years old!
Hello I’ve seen you video on how to remove a Ford ka 2009 - onwards radio and I’m replacing it with the stereo on this video. I have no where to plug on the white connector and when I plug in the grey connector to the radio it doesn’t turn on. Do u have any ideas on why or how I can get around this
I have an old car which has broken speakers as well as head unit, I've ordered this head unit and was thinking of getting 4 new speakers - am I right in saying this head unit is rated at up to 50watts per speaker through the built in amp? I don't want to install an AMP you see so I was hoping I could splice into the audio cables on the wiring harness. Cheers

I’ve installed a Pioneer MVHS420BT in my 2007 Citroen Berlingo! It’s working fine however, it doesn’t turn off when the ignition is turned off which is rather frustrating! Any idea on how to rectify this issue?

Could be a few things but most likely it’s a faulty radio, if under warranty take it back so they can check it. If not nip it to your local car radio shop and ask if they would plug it in to the test bed that they would have. Takes seconds to do and that was you would know if the radio is at fault.

A few models of steering interface are available depending on spec. If you ring a local Halfords store and give them your reg number they should be able to sort the correct one.
Hi i am looking for help fitting this unit to my Mercedes C200k sports coupe 2004 w203. The stereo works fine other than i am unable to receive any radio. i know the antenna is fine as the manufactures head unit picks up fm with no issues. i have purchased the adapter for the antenna but still no fm stations. on my manufactures unit i have 2 type antenna connections 1 thick cable and 1 thin cable but the new aftermarket unit only has the 1 Ariel connection on the back. can you help with this issue? i know i have commented on the wrong type of car install video but have been unable to find one for my make of car. thanks in advance.
Hi, this was over three years ago but if memory serves me right that one didn’t come with a mic, seeing as it’s now an older model that’s been discontinued a few years I would imagine the new version has a mic that plugs in the rear.

@@PJsprojects Sorry , to be clear , what I mean is that ALL my CD's including New and Old they crackle , The radio does not crackle at all . So you think I need to replace the CD player??? is that what you mean friend ? Blessings and Thank you :)
@@Pure-Crystal-Fire Yes sound like the cd part has what’s called a dry joint, not worth the expense of a tech looking at it, would be cheaper to buy a new stereo.
If you only have a permanent live coming from your vehicle then simply connect both the yellow and the red wires that come out the back of the radio to that one permanent live.
@@PJsprojects well the real answer is fitting a a fresh switch live cable to the yellow one. Thanks for you help tho tested it work just no speakers lol
Use the supplied release keys down each side of the radio to release the locking tabs. If unsure refer to the user manual for a diagram showing how it’s done👍🏻

Yes. Via Bluetooth but, this unit from time to time loss connection to bt device (phone, tablet etc.) when strat up, so user need to restart it.

Can you use iphone standard music app or you have to go through pioneer app to play music?

The pioneer app links Alexa to the radio
Otherwise you just use the phone button and have the mic set up and connect your phone through bluetooth
