Well, Since none if the trolleys rode on Penndot controlled roads, Only the City and Boroughs could "eff" them up, But it took PAT to REALLY "eff" up the trolleys 'nat!
BM FT I wouldn't say everything was better though. It wasn't better when blacks had little to no rights, nor when men were allowed to abuse their wives. Nor was less medical technology and knowledge. As for making money, THAT was better.
43 years ago was after the Civil Rights Acts were passed, Ryan. And spousal abuse has been illegal for longer than that period of time too. I’ll give you the medical tech argument. Knowledge? Well, in some ways, we’re better off. However, as so many people MISUSE knowledge, I can’t necessarily buy that we’re definitely better as a whole. Making money...welcome to the global economy. The idea that you could make a really good living while knowing how to do little more than push a button like they did in auto factories for decades is dead. Because they figured out that you could teach some guy in the third world to do the same thing and pay him peanuts. That’s the problem with unskilled labor; ANYONE can do it. Thus, you can’t legitimately command a premium wage.
Last year of college I had an apartment dahn the street from WPGH studios where the show was filmed. So for a while I lived in Mr. Rogers neighborhood!
I went to school right next to Mr. Rogers hause and saw him in real life n’at. I couldn’t get off a word I was so shocked! He just smiled, waved and said “hey neighbor “. Best day of my life, well that and when my son was born….and Super Bowl XL… and game 7 of the 2009 Cup Final!!🖤💛🏒🏈
As a recently retired mailman, I can neither confirm nor deny anything regarding missing Arby's beef and cheddar coupons. I will, however say that their shakes are chocolate crack. :)
I need more episodes of this. Pittsburgh Dad should be a Netflix series but until then please please please post as many episodes as humanly possible. Literally anything you post in this character is amazing. It's ridiculous that you don't have more subscribers but I guarantee in time you guys will be over 1 million subscribers because this is the greatest Channel on UA-cam
I remember you and Chris telling us stories about Mister Rogers at the Westmoreland Arts and Heritage Festival with Mr. McFeely a couple of years ago, and how you ran upstairs when Lady Elaine came on the screen!
My sister & I used to watch this when we were kids, it was fun going into the land of make believe, especially the trolley. I remember the trolley making that ding ding sound.
"Hey, kids! Get dahn here! We're gonna watch somethin' nice." "...he's been stealin' our Arby's coupons! Oh ya he is. Open up 'at Penny Saver? Big square ripped aht!"
I was weaned on Mr. Rogers, The New Zoo Review, and Romper Room. When Lady Elaine came on I was so scared that I'd take a big poop in my diaper, even now that I'm older and wiser I just watched that clip and I still almost pooped in my boxers.
The Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood in the opening credits was built with HO Scale buildings and vehicles. That tree over the house is clearly lichen tufts - something that isn't used too much anymore. Model Railroader magazine had an article in the 1990s about how they made the trolley (a Bachmann model) at 0:38 move. At that time it was pulled along the in-street track with a nylon line as the motor would have made it go too fast to look right. In typical "dahn tahn" fashion, the streets cross at a sharp angle, although I don't know of any residential areas like that. A very well done set. It wouldn't be hard to replicate with a few trips to the hobby shop or eBay.

Well, Since none if the trolleys rode on Penndot controlled roads, Only the City and Boroughs could "eff" them up, But it took PAT to REALLY "eff" up the trolleys 'nat!

@@RYMAN1321 What? We had no rights in the 80's?? Is that revisionist history?
@@BlackMuslimConservative It wasn’t too long after the Civil Rights movement. I bet you even there was more bigotry than now.
I love Mister Rogers. He was such a kind-hearted fellow.
“Please won’t you be.........my neighbor.”

My sister & I used to watch this when we were kids, it was fun going into the land of make believe, especially the trolley. I remember the trolley making that ding ding sound.
My dad loved this show
Everything went downhill with newer generations after Mr. Rogers passed away. He was exactly like people see on MRN. Such a wonderful man.
The thing I love the most about the show is how Fred hired The Johnny Costa Trio to play his songs and do the sound effects.
Remember when the trolley got crushed by the THE BUS?? That's right, The Bettis BUS!!!
I love Mr Rodgers. Much respect.
