106 years later and still relevant.. Amazing. Music doesn't seem to age.
    It's simply beautiful.

Thank you. It is Sunday April 5th 2020. I decided to get dressed for church, even though my church is not open, due to Coronavirus pandemic quarantine. I thought of this cliche, "all dressed up and no place to go". I searched Google for its Origins. When I found it was a 1911 Vaudeville show, the girl of my dreams, I searched UA-cam for the original song.
So, I decided to get dressed, in honor of my Lord Jesus Christ, as I spend time focusing on Him, anyway.

      Beautiful!!!
And also same, for this happening. What we can do right now is pray that it'll be over soon and that we'd be able to go to places freely again 🙏😄♥️

Can't seem to find the lyrics to this particular rendition of the song so here is my best attempt. I think I got it all except one point where I added a '?' so if anyone knows for sure or not please let me know.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the lights shine bright o'er the town at night,
And it's laughter, wine, and song,
Life is one delight if you stand in right
But it's fierce when you stand in wrong.
Though your soul may cry for the life on high,
And your coin you would gladly blow,
'Tis a bitter cup to be all dressed up
When you've no place at all to go.
When you're all dressed up and no place to go,
Life seems weary, dreary, and slow.
My heart has ached and bled for the tears I've shed,
When I've no place to go unless I went back to bed.
I've had a sad, sad life and whenever I go
To that peaceful spot where the violets grow,
Upon a nice white stone will be written below:
"He was all dressed up but no place to go."
Once a friend of mine gave me one swell time
    ,
That I shall not soon forget
    .
The excitement that he handed out to me
Was a brand that you don't oft get
We went through Grant's tomb in the afternoon
    ,
    Which was pleasure enough alone
    .
Then we went to call on his Uncle Paul
    ,
Who was fix'd(?) in the soldier's hall
    .

Thanks for posting the lyrics. To me, the line with the "?" sounds like: "Who was sick in the Soldiers' Home." (Soldiers' and Sailors' Homes were retirement or nursing homes for retired or disabled military.)
