    Here are some things I'm discovering when using this for my 650ish LBS Kawasaki Concours. Take off everything from the bike you can before putting it up on the lift (bags especially). Make sure your kickstand is up. Remove the back of the wheel chalk if you plan on using the motorcycle center stand. Block the back wheels of the lift before trying to put heavy bikes on it...the lift moves even when the front table wheels are raised.
    ADD A STRIP OF DUCT TAPE TO MARK THE CENTER LINE. I used bright orange, and to be honest, all lifts should come painted that way.

    On sale right now at Princess Auto for $499 until Aug 15. Picked one up for my Street Glide. Thanks for the video.

    I bought one the other day. They added U-bolts for tie-downs

    I bought one and totally agree all the way to where the pneumatic pump didn’t work. Good up-to that.

      I just had to bleed the system. Works now 👍

    Thnx, this is a great help. Have littler, older and lighter bikes & will follow your advice to buy a lift on sale.

    Mine came with tie down points front and rear, also to get the pneumatic system to work, you gotta bleed it first.

      James Carter I use a couple c claps for tie downs. They work good as you can put them anywhere you please.

    I'm sure you've sorted the pneumatic lift by now, there is a red bleeder cap on the pump that people note they had to bleed out of box to get it to work. Great video. I assume the sale price is 499 ? I will wait for the sale like you noted. Thanks for the vid.

      Yes. It just needed to be bled. And yes, I bought it on sale. A year later and I still like it. Thanks for the view. Cheers 🍻

      @@rideon2-997 I purchased the 1 500 lb one for 750$ Plus taxes which is well worth it, the 1299 regular price is an ok price, but 750$ was like stealing it, the 1500 pound one is close to 650 lbs

      Mine still works great to his day

    The one I bought has tie downs, Maybe they updated it.

      Likely. All I did was buy a couple small c clamps and put them where needed. Pretty handy that way actually. I should do a year in review video on that lift. Seems to be a popular one (for me anyway... haha)

    You =have to bleed the air out for the air to work

    Hey Chris thanks for the video!
    I was just at PA today looking at that lift to make working on for my Harley a bit easier. What’s the heaviest bike you have had on there? And have you changed the wheel chock or is the original still working well?

    • @rideon2-997
      @rideon2-997  5 років тому +2

      Neil Martella I still have the original, but rarely use it. I mostly use front and rear stands. I’ve had an 800lb bike on it. It’ll wobble a bit going up, but once you put the lock bar in it’s solid.

    Have you tried it with front and rear paddock stands?

    • @rideon2-997
      @rideon2-997  5 років тому

      EchoConstellation yes. That is usually the only way I use it.

    Hi Chris, I have an older Princess Auto version - no pneumatic function, different front chock and rated for 800 lbs, but otherwise similar. I had a number of issue with it and I address them all in my own video at ua-cam.com/video/tMKky9NRGQI/v-deo.html

      You tube only lets you use pre approved music. I’m not a fan either. Sorry
