Welcome to Elysium City, a city of prosperity and paradise…that’s what a scumbag that wants your money for an overpriced home you wanna buy would tell you. In actuality, Elysium is cesspool of mafia syndicates, psychopaths and degenerates. You’re better off living anywhere else but here. However, I call it home. The name’s Carter, Alistar Carter, an ex-cop turned private detective. My time on the force was sweet until three years ago *flashback of partner getting killed by crazed psychopath* I’ll never forget that day…that same day my partner was gunned down saving my life. Now since then, I’ve been taking petty jobs from people who want dirt on an enemy, desperate spouses and that sort of stuff. The type of stuff a real police officer wouldn’t even bother their time looking into. I take the jobs to keep me at least somewhat busy, and to help fuel my taste of bourbon. Which reminds me *tries to pour himself a glass* shit. I need to go buy more. “Mr. Carter, your 5 o’clock is here to see you.” my secretary Denise calls from the front office. “Oh good, send her in.” My client today is Mrs. Lockhart, a beautiful woman with a body that would make Zeus himself settle down permanently. She’s not just a pretty face though, she intelligent, sassy and clever. “Alistar, long time no see, doll.” She also happens to be my ex-wife. “What do you want Maranda? I thought you never wanted to see me again?” I tell her lighting up a cigarette. “That was before I needed your help.” She says taking a smoke from her purse as well and I offer to light it up for her. “Thank you. Obviously you know about my recent husband?” She asks me. “How could I forget, Harrison Lockhart, CEO of Valhalla Auto. What about him?” I spitefully responded. “He’s dead, Alistar.” I look to her in a bit of skepticism . “I heard and what do you want me to do about it?” She looks up to me with an amount of sadness in her face but a hint of relief as well. “I want you to find the man who killed him, please. For me, Alistar.” I look to her and ask “What’s in it for me?” She scoffs in annoyance “How about 50,000 dollars to start?” I sit down in my chair and face her. “You got any leads for me to start with?” She pulls a letter and wedding band. In the letter he explains how he’s made some enemies and how he is in deep with the Corleone family, the biggest mob family in Elysium City. He also wrote how what he knows could bring them down once and for all. “So what did Harry know? Seems like he stuck his nose where it shouldn’t be? For example…” I shoot her a glare that tells her what I meant by that. “*Tch* I knew it was a mistake for coming here. If you’re gonna start an argument then I’ll just leave.” She gets up and give me half of the money now. “You’ll get the other half once you solve the case. Oh and Alistar…” I looked at her in slight annoyance. “Don’t drink too much of your life away.” She closes the door to my office and leaves. Well it seems I got myself a case to keep me busy and a great idea to start my investigation. Time for me to hope back into the cesspool called Elysium City. (Yeah, I was bored)

'Detective...', she said, 'I need your help, it's an emergency.' I stood up and walked to the window. I looked out, and the rain had stopped. I looked back at her. 'Sorry toots, I'm dealing with plenty of emergencies on my own.' The real emergency was that burning passion building up inside, needing to be extinguished."

The dark side of the human condition It rained down on this hot, sinful city. It should have cooled it down but it just made the heat wet. I was smoking a Lucky Strike cigarette at the bar when she walked in the room lit up. Framed by the neon and smoke she looked like a fallen angel - and I was looking to get a halo myself. She had legs that didn't stop, they went up and up, caught on the ceiling fan, spun out the window, and ricocheted across the city, stealing men of their hearts as they looked at her up and down with the eyes. No one filed a report. We need you, Detective, I need you. Life wouldn't be the same without you!" "I can't come back, not after the incident." looks out the window "See, I'm a grenade doll. I have a specific use. I'm good at risk-taking and making other people take risks, I've always been good at that in my life." But eventually, that's the bad person to have. Eventually, you don't want the guy telling you to go over the top and go through with it, pushing you to the edge. So at some point, I'll be a disaster for the project, at least, in a leadership role. The city is on the verge of greatness. A new type of city, based not on the man, but on the automobile. The car is a symbol of freedom and vitality. Where every man can own his own home and have room to breathe and not be overlooked by his neighbors. A city where a man's home is his castle. A quarter-acre of the dream made possible by the victory. A city of opportunists. A city of dreams where Hollywood will shape the thoughts and desires of the entire planet. A city of pioneers. A city of dreamers. A city of undercurrents, where not everything is as it seems. A twentieth-century city that will become a model for the world. A city that has no boundaries, that will stretch as far as the eye can see.
I needed to solve a case in History for my class, and I played this while working on it. I tried to word it to make it sound like a true detective on the case, and this music just helped me concentrate on what I was doing. Hey, @Simran Luminous Music. I don't want any copyright issues, so just for verification I can use music from here in a non-commercial game I am making as long as I include the proper credits in the description?
Yes. I did the same and I haven't had any problems yet. The description has the names of the songs and authors. Do the same, put the appropriate credits. Thanks.
The place was a dump, but she wouldnt meet anywhere else!
All worth it to get the dame of my life, get the ledger, cash in, and live happily ever after!
Now I just had to get my partner to play ball, or shut up!
If your tv is connected to Alexa does it ever fully shut off?
When Among Us isn't originally made for kids:
fun fact: if id live in big city in middle of night and walked through the city playing this out loud, people would think im a wierdo.
They're just jealous because you got style and a great taste in music my friend
Me and the boys play this when we talk about how women have hurt us in the past.
"Back in 1969 Cindy was the most beautiful women on the block. She'd always be on her front steps to her apartment building after work to smoke. She ended up breaking my heart and taking half of all my stuff. Makes me think if she planned it all out to begin with."

The dark side of the human condition
It rained down on this hot, sinful city. Life wouldn't be the same without you!" "I can't come back, not after the incident."
looks out the window "See, I'm a grenade doll.
