My kitchen is full of wooden utensils that I love to use. In this video, I show how to give them a good clean and get rid of nasty bugs that can hide in damp wood
Most Definitely you must rub them down with a food grade oil like Butchers Block or Food Grade Mineral Oil or Food Grade Bees Wax. If you don't eventually they will start to dry out crack or splinter.
Thanks for sharing. Am trying this today
Can I use dishwashing liquid which is chemical based , will it absorb chemicals or does it need to be organic dishwashing liquid ???
👍Okay, but don’t you need to rub them down with a food grade wood oil also?
You don't have to after every wash. Thank you for watching

@@rena764 - 👍Thank you. After more research, that’s what I’ve been doing. So far so good. 🙏💝
So immersing in soap water won’t do?
Rahul Agarwal it has to be hot soapy water :-)
I will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
I'm sure you will find good solutions for all your ideas on the Stodoys plans website.
Anericans wouldnt leave their wooden utensils exposed to water for so long under any circumstances as it ruins them.
