- HD Team Pilot, Girard Ibanez, takes time out to show how he sheaths his servo wires. A very efficient yet economical way to protect servo wires from chaffing against sharp edges. Cool tip applied, CHECK!! Thank you, Girard!

Shrink tubing stretcher - LOL Those are E or C clip pliers for removing C clips .. however yeah OK - “Heat Shrink Stretchers” 😂
Actually, they are 90-degree needle nose pliers. C/E clip pliers have tiny noses that can fit in the holes of the clip.
My inside joke … I also have a wire stretcher tool 😂😂😂
I just ran out to buy this stuff lol. Thanks for the great tips
Great tip on the paracord. There are wire covers that will stretch open without disconnecting the wires as well. Still a great new way to cover wires however. Thanks!
Yes there are also the Chinese hand cuff plastic braid sleeve. I’ve been using that before but now favoring this cloth sheathing.
With the braided sheath I use a soldering iron to burn the ends from unraveling after I install the braided sheath on the wire.
Great idea using the paracord. I’ve used the sheathing designed for it and I hate how the ends can never be clean. Can’t wait to try this. Thanks for sharing. Not bad at all for a “one armed guy”!!!! LOL Hope your recovery is coming along well
Thanks Doug, credit goes to SRCHA pilots aka Dude. Anything an arm stretch away is a challenge one handed.
I find that the tip of a #11 X-Acto blade works really well to lift the tabs on the servo plug plus it has a handle. Never tried a single razor blade, just passing along what I've found that works really well in addition to your method. I do use the butane heat gun on all my heat shrink tubing great tool..
Thanks for that tip … the butane heat gun with a focus nozzle is a great tool … I need to get another set as mine is from 1993 era
@@IFLYRCHELICOPTERS Mine is an older one also, it’s bernzomatic pencil torch. It has attachments so you can use it as a torch, a soldering iron and a heat gun. Handy thing to have not only on the bench but at the field. I even had a guy ask me to use it to light his cigarette. 🤣
@@heeder777yes they are handy field tool … I bought mine in 1993 as I needed a field soldering iron.
Why the vertical video letterboxed as a horizontal video, can't watch it in full screen.
Sorry about that …
Will there be a st. Patrick's day sale?
The heak . Just use snake skin wrap . Paracord on a 4k heli doesn't seem right LOL
Give it a try, any sheathing is better than no sheathing regardless of the cost of the model.
what mm size cord are you using?
Hello where did you find the black fiber sheath and what diameter is it?
It's the outer shell from paracord. He just removed the strands from the inside.
@@heeder777 what diameter of paracord?
@@axelminet1095 4 mm 5/32 or 550 rated. All the same. The 550 is 4mm, just shy of 5/32”
Hyper Tough 550 Paracord (Walmart), 5/32-inch 50 feet
