JANUARY 6, 2022: With his voice cracking at times, Prime Minister Andrew Holness yesterday, Wednesday, January 5, 2022, said the country's murders weigh heavy on his mind while speaking at the National Day of Prayer held at The Power of Faith Ministries in Portmore, St Catherine.
Referencing Tuesday’s murder of two brothers, Dervin, 43, and Sheldon Jones, 41, in Westmoreland and the killing of 10-year-old Jezariah Tyrell in a home attack in central Kingston last week, the Prime Minister said he was haunted by the country’s murder wave.

Everybody has a solution when the leadership shoe is not on their foot. How about we fear God and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. This is the only way that we'll stop violating one another.
Where there’s no vision the people perish(proverbs 29:18) We’re govern by leaders, it’s for reasons why God gave us leaders. When they don’t have a vision to do what God has called them to do the people will surely perish. It’s time to stop finding excuses for their irresponsibility, recklessness and lawlessness. God wants us to use wisdom, it’s a good thing to fear God, but how about leaders doing what they’re commissioned to do, for decades the people has been out of control they’re basically leading themselves. Sadly that’s the problem, the county is broken because of bad management leadership side. If God has to fix everything why would he appoint leaders, God has been appointing leaders since the beginning of time, let me name a few ( Moses, Joshua, Jeremiah and many more) leaders must be held accountable for their actions, if he cannot sleep at night because he’s haunted by the violence it’s time to get on board and start doing the job. God has spoken to him through these people that are no longer here, he must heed the call and do what thus say the lord. Prayers do changes things, so he needs to seek God for Guidance and do what he was commissioned to do, if not God will continue to worry his heart and trouble his spirit until he does it. God is moving by his spirit. There’s a great call for restoration and rebuilding physically.It’s a good thing to fear God and love our neighbors, the people are not even comprehending or responding to that. But we continue to pray that God’s will to be done as leaders use knowledge,wisdom , and understanding to do what they’re called to do. Again God has spoken.

The Prime Minister can stop with his crocodile tears, if he’s truly upset about the crime rate, then find away to stop the weapons from coming into the island. If you have a high poverty rate, undereducated society, studies shows this leads to higher crime. Find away to educate, innovate have different business opportunities other than tourism. Jamaica rely too much on foreign dollars. Start with infrastructure roads,and bridges stop stealing!! the money, put the money back into the country, and start rebuilding the Jamaica.

Yes we need a Higher level gun violence laws set up so people who think them a bad man can set up them selfs for hard time when they do the crime. We need a high level Prison with maximum security and Camara on all corners , high level surveillance systems . We need politicians to set examples so the masses can learn from. We need a law on violent music. We need a law on garbage littering , we need a law on bad parenting aka children getting neglected . We need a law on sexual harassment. We need a law of corruption in the judicial system . We need a law on for everything that causes murders . We want more resources used from Jamaica so we can export more . Jamaica seems to have a bigger probem than just crime. The crime is the result of something much greater, and the PM and members of parliament need to stop for a moment, be honest with themselves and ask the question, where have we gone wrong? It is then that you will be able to have a glimpse of the underlying factors that have corrupted " Jamaica land we love". Eg innocent children, seniors, abducted, raped, murdered, etc.

The speech is empty and void of any concrete plans to deal with the situation. Andrew Holness should sit down with Duarte of the Philippines and get some pointers how to deal with this madness. Liberate Jamaica from the criminal and murderous gang violence. Make serious changes to the laws and get rid of the corrupt judges. Simply state, if you're caught with an illegal gun, cut off both hands, if you're convicted of murder, no prison time. Take them to camp put them before a firing squad, execute them and burn their bodies. Why put them in prison so the taxpayers are forced to take care of them? Kill the bastards and restore civility to society. Let the security forces do their jobs. Hugh Shearer once told the police to shoot first and ask questions if they're still alive.
