Now, the brand has become an Aussie success story and global phenomenon, with 1,026 McCafé’s across Australia and more than 4,000 in 60 countries across the world.

Love the choc soft serve! I reckon this was filmed last year, the cups have the Ronald McDonald day and 18th Nov on them ☺️ (I liked the potato scallops y'all should bring them back lol)
As a Kiwi this is the closest we will get to being on food wars haha 😆 I do have to say that Australian McDonald’s is very similar to New Zealand McDonald’s after watching this though.
Back in the early 2000’s I used to manage the Maccas in Broome, WA. Which at the time was the most logistically remote McDonald’s in the world, with all our stock coming up from Perth over 2000km’s away. We were closer to Bali. If we ran out of anything we had to transfer it from Port Hedland, the next nearest store, over 600km’s away. Due to Subways success Maccas jumped on the fresh made sandwich trend, with the Deli Choices menu, it was a disaster. We also used to do roast chicken (chook), like Red Rooster when I first started though and it was tasty. What happened to the McOz burger with beetroot?
That's not a current menu in Australia, it looks a few years old. The crispy chicken deluxe is gone it's now the McCrispy like the US. The McFeast has not been on the menu for a while, it comes and goes. The toys switched to cardboard a while ago, (mostly card games like Pokemon or TopTrump) for easier disposal, but you can get a mini brick McDonalds store as an extra. In addition to the regular M&M and Oreo McFlurry, they now do them with chocolate soft serve and had a TimTam McFlurry.
They would have filmed this a few months ago. It's not completely current if things have changed on the menu in the last few months but definitely not a few years old.
Milo is more malt-chocolate than all chocolate. Not sweet like chocolate with a malty taste. Yum 😋 Fun fact: most popular/purchased Maccas item in Australia is the hash brown ✌️
the beef flavouring in american fries is quite interesting its almost certainly because originally mcdonalds fries were cooked in beef tallow which among other things made them slightly beefy tasting so they probably wanted to keep that flavour, even if they lost all the other benefits of beef tallow
McDonalds in the U.S. does offer the triple cheeseburger. It is on the app menu for both a full meal or just the sandwich. It may be that this is on a case by case basis between stores like hot mustard though.
It is we have it at the one i work at same with say the mcrib shamrock shakes it depends on the store who owns it and what management wants. Its my assumption that stores get some ability to accept an item on the menu
Love the Australian/US version. I do get Coke Zero all the time here in the US. I swear we used to have this packets of little crunchy cookies here in the US.
Interesting, one of my biggest issues with american mcdonalds is the lack of bbq burgers (and the existing options being very bland and boring to me) Those bbq burgers in australia look amazing.

Pleased to see Australia is being represented now 😊 From that quick look at the deluxe quarter pounder, it looks to have almost the same ingredients as a McFeast, which is just a Quarter pounder with lettuce, mayo and tomato. I think the video was filmed a few months back now too - mccrispy has replaced some of the chicken burgers and the milo McFlurry was limited time only (unfortunately). Most of the time McCafé drinks are also not barista made in other parts of the world. Usually it’s coffee out of a machine in other countries. For those interested, food items are made to order (from some precooked items) in Australia. You won’t find those racks with burgers sitting in them for ages waiting to be picked.
Because Wendy's in Australia corresponds to Australian ice cream parlour franchise Wendy's Milk Bar, the restaurant chain known as Wendy's should rename itself as "Dave's" for the Australian market (as well as the European market), similar to how Burger King is known as Hungry Jack's there.
Just a reminder all mcdonalds are different so a lot of these are specific to thier respective mcdonalds. I don’t know how McDonald’s does it, but their pancake syrup is the sweetest substance known to mankind. I know all maple/“pancake” syrup is sweet, but theirs is sickeningly so. I like their hotcakes, but only if I’m supplying my own syrup. Same with their fries and their ketchup - if I’m taking home, I’ll use my own ketchup, but in restaurant, I’d rather eat them plain than use their ketchup.
I dunno while its cool that we finally saw AUS differences to the US McDonald, this especially the Australian side seemed poorly studied with alot of wrong information, also our quater pounders is more like your quarter pounder with cheese

So my takeaway as an Australian is... the oz variants are only marginally "healthier" than the original US versions, they're both very unhealthy and should be eaten in moderation 😂 Seeing the exclusives was so interesting though
Why did the Australian girl say that the triple cheeseburger was exclusive there when we've had them in the States for years.
probably depends on location
they are still available but not a listed menu item
@@IndenturedUA-camSlave In my area it's on the app but not the menu inside.
@@IndenturedUA-camSlaveThey are literally on the app and have been for years & I'm in California where this was filmed.
I really wish McDonalds in AU brought back their big breakfast with scrambled egg, sausage (beef patty) and hash brown.
I saw someone ask for this and they just released the assuie version. This will be enjoyable 😂
Assuming Joe is working on another season of Food Tours with Harry, hence his absence (except the mini cameo in Australia’s fries 😂).
2:13 By the way Australia also have the 24 piece at Maccas. If your ever ordering a 20pc I recommend you order a 24 piece as it's like roughly $2 cheaper.
i expected an ingredient comparison with health comparison stuff you know a real quality check
Nice to meet a new host😄
Btw who missing our OG host *NIKHIL*?(he's the man of culture, c'mon @Insider food you know better who's in demand🙃👎)
Macca's in Aus is still popular, I think that's why the variety is bigger than the states
Ahaha..."that's putrid" gold 😂
Forgot no seshwan sauce in Aus, shaker fries with chicken salt are here, and we don't have gluten free burger buns in Aus
You guys need a disclaimer at the time of filming because in the US we have a double Big Mac and a Mcspicy
Crash Bandicoot on the N64. Classic. ;)
I dunno while its cool that we finally saw AUS differences to the US McDonald, this especially the Australian side seemed poorly studied with alot of wrong information, also our quater pounders is more like your quarter pounder with cheese
Every time I go to a Micky D's here in Adelaide South Australia I have to get an iced coffee frappe with no cream and add extra ice cream 👌 Soo good 😄
