On the internet, people often feel the need to establish an identity to gain attention. A creative and talented person will naturally attract attention from others. However, when someone has nothing to impress people with, they resort to criticizing others' tastes in art as a way to gain attention. Hating popular artists becomes a coping mechanism for those who lack their own unique identity to stand out. I mostly listen to alternative music, but I don’t understand why people judge others for their tastes, as if what they’re listening to is the highest form of art. 'Maulla' is also based on same context where a daughter request to God to get his father back 'Mazaak'song is a related to smile of girl.which means he doesn't want to fall in love but he does fall in love bcz of girl's smile. gaming community has same toxicity, pc gamers hating console players, player of certain game hating on player of other certain games(looking at you black myth wukong fans), people hating because a person who plays a popular game instead of a indie title which only played by 10 people you can't escape this toxicity in any type of media , the best is "ek kaan se suno aur dusre se nikal do" you will be much happy
I’ve learnt so much about music and singing from your channel homie, hope you explore indian classical music more (also legends like Bhupen Hazarika) ❤
you should have mentioned the song alag aasman that's my fav song of his the line "khali ghar tera hai chaabiyo ki gunj esi tujhe dara rahi" is so beautiful for me its hus fav and well written song
Not a fan of Anuv Jain but the point is in India we're so much habituated in listening to Arijit Singh and Sonu Nigam where composer, lyricist are Pritam, Amitabh Bhattacharya or Javed Akhtar that it's hard for us to digest a complete "Singer and Songwriter". But yeah ngl Anuv Jain sounds monotonous.
The Saddest and Baddest Era in Music We’re living in a time where musical integrity takes a backseat to aesthetics. Artists who can’t even tell when their own guitar is out of tune are being hailed as icons. And a big part of the blame lies with platforms like Spotify. Spotify has played a major role in shaping a culture where "vibe" matters more than musical craft. Instead of uplifting genuine artistry, it promotes artists who fit a certain aesthetic, regardless of their technical skill or understanding of their own art. Meanwhile, Indian film music - a genre that has been a cultural cornerstone - is being dismissed as "uncool" under this new wave of curated taste. This shift hurts not only artists but also listeners, who deserve more than catchy algorithms and surface-level appeal. I genuinely hope that one day, true musicality and craftsmanship will be valued again, beyond what's deemed "trendy" or "playlist-friendly."
Let's agree to disagree on this. Art has many forms and artists have freedom. You can't simply put rules to it as art represents freedom. I'm not even a fan of Anuv Jain. I like classical music but still I believe art exists in all forms. If you like it, then enjoy it. If you don't like it then let it be. Because different people will have different opinions. And I don't agree on this aesthetic part. There are many such artists singing like this even before trends. I believe the trend is because of the music, not the vice versa. There are audiences for item numbers and catchy songs. In UP, Bihar etc, some 'odd' (we call it vulgar too) songs will be sung in wedding. But we cannot restrict art to a limited form.
Riha- So this song is about breakup and the poet doesn't want to move on. After the breakup, his friends, the people around him are constantly telling him to move on. Now here he has compared this to waves of ocean. And he has compared her memory/nishan to the footprints and his heart to the sand. Whenever we put our footprint over sand, they will invariably be washed by the waves and vanished. But he is so adamant not to move on, He will keep on putting footprints over sand. He is saying that no matter how hard you try to make me forget her, I shall not.
I can try to explain: hai sath hai par sath na bhi,kya itni asan hai... it explains situationship where you're with someone who comes to you whenever they want and you stay like couple but there's no commitment...so in the video of this song the girl's emotion has been explained, how she feels that how easy it is for the boy to come to her and so love and then leave her while she only thinks about him.
Bhai, I think it's a decision of personal choice. Kuch logo ko pasand hota hai ye rondhe se gaane sunna from a "good looking" guy like him( like c'mon don't tell me some girls aren't there just cause of his looks) and I personally don't like his music, not cause of the memes or whatever, but kyunki wo sabhi gaano mein pehli baat rota rehta hai, (which is i don't is ok, sad genre hota hai, par iske toh saare gaane hi usi pe based hai, while sonu nigam and KK have a wide variety of music, not just sad) plus how he just seems to sing using his nasal voice really icks me out of his music completely! I don't even know ki wo apne har gaane mein aise aavaz se kaise gaa leta hai. Aisa lagta hai ki he records his song while sitting in a bathroom stall shitting hard and bohot tej ke pressure ki wajah se can't speak properly. Just a personal opinion rant.😅😅
Why are you comparing him with Sonu and KK? He is an indie artist, that's his genre, he doesn't need to prove himself versatile. Whoever likes this genre and his work will follow him. And who doesn't, can find tons of other options of their own choice, that's it.
tbh is that too big of a problem? Like let people enjoy what they want. You are right the vibe of each songs seems similar but some people may like that. Personally I am not a fan of Anuv Jain. I am a Radiohead fan. (not comparing them obviously, there is no competition 😉)
Bhai apka analysis accha lagta hai dekhke .. Ek gaana hai gulon me rang bhare jiske 5 versions hai KK, Mohit Chauhan, Ali sethi, Arijit singh and mehdi Hasan ye woh 5 versions hai... please make a video on how these versions are different and who nailed it ..
Anuv Jain. Heard this name for first time today. From your review, I think this guy has so much potential. He just needs proper guidance to direct his talent in correct way. Judging by his lyrics, it is giving kinda Gulzar saab vibes. If this meeting of New and Old gen happens, then we might witness a good change in music industry. I just hope this 'cancel' trend don't suppress this talent. EDIT - Just listened his two songs, 1. Alag Aasmaan and 2. Riha. Didn't find any abnornmality, but suprised. A miracle singer/lyricist born in today's era. I bet, if he were a western singer, he would've gotten to another level! True music lovers needs this guy. Thank you Sangeetarist for this video 👍
Ya I totally agree with you, people are not into music these days basically people are after the trend a particular music makes, if a song becomes viral over the internet Mostly in insta that's how people are able to define their taste of music. So coming to the conclusion you don't need that old school music It just need to be popular over insta And you can hear that same song everywhere in the parties,in a taxi, in a picnic and everywhere 😅
10:20 Well there could be many meanings of these lines but in my version maybe it is something like jo log sath dene ki baatein karte hai wo actually mein sath hoke bhi hamare sath nahi hai, so "kya itni aasan hai" unke liye ye baatein bnana ki I'll be there for you and all... So I think maybe that's what he meant. Btw love your videos ❤
Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion about Anuv Jain. Im writing this comment before watching this video 😬. I feel Anuv Jain is good but over-hyped because there are other independent artists also who deserve more fame than him in terms of music composition, singing and lyrics. Sure his lyrics are deep, but mostly melodies are the same except for a few and his songs only target relationships. Feels like he will be out of topic if he doesn''t explore categories other than relationships. But its up to him and audiences as long as they go well with each other. Even i like his songs 🙂✌️
I loved the lyricism and music production of the Antariksh song. Especially that line "Dekho ye aaina, ayena tu kyun yahan, aaine main saath mere teri hi toh hai jagah"
7:58 part was too good, shayad aapko the local train aur Ritviz pe video bana sakte ho kyuki uss band mein bhi range hai and Ritviz band singers also have range❤
At 11:04 (according to me) I guess he wanted to convey that as the footprints of the people fade away from the beach as the wave washes it away just like that his/her footprints/impact will fade away from my life.
Baat pasand na pasand ka hai hi nahi mere liye 😅 Mera suru hota hai Kishore Kumar se aur khatam hota hai Arijit Singh se. Naye singers accha ho ya bura mujhe sunna hi nahi 😅 Mera comfort zone wahi hai.
Bhaiya,Coming back to your channel after a while..Loved this video..Bhaiya, I request you to explore legendary music composer-lyricist Salil Chowdhury..It was also his 100th birthday this year..❤
Pehle main bhi Anuv Jain ki hate train ka part tha, lekin jab maine uske kuch gaane sune to mujhe theek lage(although a little monotonous) 1-2 meri playlist mein bhi gaye, iski kuch compositions achchi hain aur gaane mostly female-centric hote hain which is not my type. But isme hate karne ka matlab nahi hai!
*Hum toh sabhi tarah ki gaane sunte hai naya se purana gaana log sunte hai situation ke hisab se bho bhi ek artist hai aur artist ka respect hona chaiye* ❤️🙏🏻
I might like Anuv Jain after 5 or 6 years, But currently I don't Same thing happened with Darshan Rawal for me, didn't really like him when he was popular, Now I quite like him
Atleast he writes his own shit and produce it compare to the bollywood singers like Arijit who just sing a song which is written by someone else 😂, and people go crazy over that and then they also dare to compare Bollywood singer to the global artists 😂😂😂,
What are you even saying? All legendary singers have sung songs composed by brilliant composers, written by gifted lyricists. K.L. Saigal, Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh, Bhupinder, Manna Dey, Yesudas, Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh, Balasubramanyam- everyone! Being a good singer takes into account the talent to sing, not the pretentiousness to prove that one is a jack of all trades, master of none! Arijeet Singh is a FAR better singer than this pansy crybaby, he's nowhere in five hundred miles close to Arijeet. Pandit Bhimsen Joshi SANG thumris and khayals composed by Vishnu Digamber Bhatkhande. Rabindranath Tagore wrote and composed songs but was a horrible singer, other brilliant singers sang his compositions. So, doing everything by oneself doesn't make somebody a good singer. If you're a composer, you need to compose well, if you're a singer, you need to sing well, if you're a lyricist, you need to write well. Some people do all the three well, they are exceptions. Yes, Pansy Crybaby Jain does all of them, but he does ALL THE THREE very poorly. So he's bad, in all respects. Charlie Chaplin wrote, produced, directed, and acted, all by himself in his films- they were classics. Kanti Shah wrote, produced, directed, and acted, all by himself, in his films- they were porn. So you see, JUST doing everything all by oneself doesn't guarantee good art. You have to do everything WELL. Pansy Jain does it badly, so he's bad.
Usse kya sabit ho jata hai? "Teenon kar liya"- toh?? So what? Ek hi karo, dhhang se karo. Kabhi kabaar do teen bhi kar lo. But just because someone's simply doing all three, doesn't mean he's praiseworthy. Charlie Chaplin wrote, produced and directed his own films, all by himself. They were classics. Kanti Shah wrote, produced and directed his own films, all by himself. They were porn. So you see, just DOING multiple things doesn't make you good. Doing them WELL is what matters. Anuv Jain is a pretentious poet. A limited composer. An incapable singer. But he does all the three, so he should be celebrated - that's your logic? Brilliant. Hats off to your intelligence.
Anuv is blessed with a gift of composing and writing. There are are many many good singers on Instagram but don't have the hunar of writing and composing thats why they can't make it big like anuv, he is a package of a singer/songwriter and a composer. Or jo tum lyrics m meaning nhi bn rahi keh rhe ho koi koi lines m woh uske puraane gaane hai he has evolved from that and u can't point on his current songs. Pls inde scene waise hi kam h thoda bhi miss judge hogye artist toh sb kharab ho jayega, yeh brainless people influenced by others opinion will damage inde space...
He is more of a lyricist than singer. Legendary singers can't write as legendary as lyricist does , here he can't sing as beautiful as them but he writes beautifully.

10:19 its about she is saying to him ki "See how everyone is whispering about them", " they are together but still unable to be," (may be a kind of situationship has been created between them), "is this that easy whatsoever everyone is saying?" I think this says it all.!

'Riha' song basically based on his father memories asking to God to get his father back from heaven .
'Maulla' is also based on same context where a daughter request to God to get his father back
'Mazaak'song is a related to smile of girl.which means he doesn't want to fall in love but he does fall in love bcz of girl's smile.
'Mishri' means sugar, sweet (in song mishri ke badalo😴💭 means 'sweet dreams').
'Husn' song Is based on onesided relationship.
I liked husn.... I really liked the lyrics and music video ... The way those words describe 'one sided love'.... I can relate. So, this song kinda feels special to me.

Also sounds bland!

The Saddest and Baddest Era in Music
We’re living in a time where musical integrity takes a backseat to aesthetics.
True Spotify always put his his types of song in my recommendation eventhough I dislike song and don't play that kind of songs😂😂😂

"रेत पे पैरों से, तेरे निशान मेरे दिल पर
लोगों की लहरों सी बातों से मिटेंगे कब तक"
Riha- So this song is about breakup and the poet doesn't want to move on.
After the breakup, his friends, the people around him are constantly telling him to move on.
Now here he has compared this to waves of ocean. And he has compared her memory/nishan to the footprints and his heart to the sand.
Whenever we put our footprint over sand, they will invariably be washed by the waves and vanished.
But he is so adamant not to move on,
He will keep on putting footprints over sand.
Sonuji ke bahut bahut bahut underrated songs pe ek video bana do....
I know aapne banaya hai.... but they are not that underrated....
Your new setup is pretty good but add some touch of color & little elements. And improve your lighting setup to make it more cinematic...........
I know the lyrics are great, but not the voice that sings him (again a personal opinion)
He doesn't even appear in his videos, what looks are u talking about?
Why are you comparing him with Sonu and KK? He is an indie artist, that's his genre, he doesn't need to prove himself versatile. Whoever likes this genre and his work will follow him. And who doesn't, can find tons of other options of their own choice, that's it.
Thanks for uploading. Now I can eat dinner while enjoying your video 😭❤️

EDIT - Just listened his two songs,
1. Alag Aasmaan and
2. Riha.
Didn't find any abnornmality, but suprised. A miracle singer/lyricist born in today's era. I bet, if he were a western singer, he would've gotten to another level! True music lovers needs this guy. Thank you Sangeetarist for this video 👍
Ya I totally agree with you, people are not into music these days basically people are after the trend a particular music makes, if a song becomes viral over the internet
Mostly in insta that's how people are able to define their taste of music.
So coming to the conclusion you don't need that old school music
It just need to be popular over insta
And you can hear that same song everywhere in the parties,in a taxi, in a picnic and everywhere 😅
9:56 reason: limited vocabulary, lacking the reading of quality poetry.
Ish portion me mujhe bahut hasi ayi😂😂😂
I loved the lyricism and music production of the Antariksh song. Especially that line "Dekho ye aaina, ayena tu kyun yahan, aaine main saath mere teri hi toh hai jagah"
I really loved his Antariksh song.

Just like a lot of other artists.

Pehle main bhi Anuv Jain ki hate train ka part tha, lekin jab maine uske kuch gaane sune to mujhe theek lage(although a little monotonous) 1-2 meri playlist mein bhi gaye, iski kuch compositions achchi hain aur gaane mostly female-centric hote hain which is not my type. But isme hate karne ka matlab nahi hai!
*Hum toh sabhi tarah ki gaane sunte hai naya se purana gaana log sunte hai situation ke hisab se bho bhi ek artist hai aur artist ka respect hona chaiye* ❤️🙏🏻
soo many people are also criticizing prateek kuhad and i request you to make a video on him also as he is one of my favorite singer.
I might like Anuv Jain after 5 or 6 years,
But currently I don't
Same thing happened with Darshan Rawal for me, didn't really like him when he was popular, Now I quite like him
Atleast he writes his own shit and produce it compare to the bollywood singers like Arijit who just sing a song which is written by someone else 😂, and people go crazy over that and then they also dare to compare Bollywood singer to the global artists 😂😂😂,
What are you even saying?
Charlie Chaplin wrote, produced, directed, and acted, all by himself in his films-
they were classics.
Kanti Shah wrote, produced, directed, and acted, all by himself, in his films-
they were porn.
So you see, JUST doing everything all by oneself doesn't guarantee good art.
You have to do everything WELL.
Pansy Jain does it badly, so he's bad.
Usse kya sabit ho jata hai?
"Teenon kar liya"-
toh??
Brilliant. Hats off to your intelligence.
ek idea hai bhai, kya tum naruto aur bleach ki ost review kar sakte ho?

I used to think less of him. But his sing Husn is a blockbuster 🎉
Starting of the video😂🤣🫡
Its high time Indians actually realise how the music industry actually works. Songs mostly arent written by the singer.
0:00 Aahatein by Agnee
I believe he will be remembered as great artist but not as a great singer.
Although i only listened husn and jo tum mere ho, l like anuv jain. It doesn't matter to me that anyone else says. I like these songs. And i also listened barish and ocean too
