This is awesome. I can use this trick now to fit all my powerpoint exports into videos without needing to adjust the scaling in the editing software.
Thank you ! 👍😁
Great video!

Tank you
I'm changing the size but it's changing size of all slides, my question is how can I individually change size of a slide??
You can't. It's all or nothing. Unfortunately, it's also impossible to make your presentation to fit actual pixels. If you set it to "presenter", the width of the powerpoint application will determine the width of the presentation. After spending 2 weeks on some presentations, I found the hard way that Powerpoint is insanely slow at converting video, completely ignores transition times when doing a narration (say you want a splash page with no audio last for 5 seconds every time, it won't move to the next slide while recording, so can kiss consistency goodbye) even when you tell it to abide by them.
ookay but! what if i have a pic as a background originally, like when you convert a pdf into pptx it happens?
i have tried but the output size is far beyond what i was expecting . i had 1040 * 748 in pixels. as shown in the video , microsoft will convert it in cm or in . when i export as png or jpeg, i total got sizes that are not what i am expecting. am I missing something ?
When i changed the size all the content were out of the slide. Unfortunately i cant get them back I'm redrawing everything now 😡
Im on iMac, but the width and height appear only in cm. How I change cm to inches? anybody know?
On your desktop, go to Control Panel/Region/Additional Settings/Measurement system -- change to US. You need to reopen PPT for it to take effect.
This doesn't actually do much of anything. It will always pick full screen mode (so if you have a 4K monitor, but want your presentation in a 1/4 of the screen, you're SOL) unless you pick presenter mode, but then that mode will always scale it to the PowerPoint window (so screen recording with a different program that records by window will require you manually resize power point's window to exactly fit the inside the dimensions of it's window (which is tedious). There's currently no way to run a presentation, say, at a standard pixel size like 1920x1080 without recording it first (which is unfortunate because the convert-to-video feature takes 5-10 minutes per minute of actual video time, making it useless and requiring something like Camtasia to manually screen capture it, so you can put on UA-cam - which takes only a few seconds per minute of video).
Thank you!
