who else is here for some online gym homework
me
Give it 20 years :)
My body is jacked up, played sports up until I was 20 and then pain and injuries hit me hard to the point where I completely stopped- 12 years later I'm thinking nothing else has worked, time to go all in on stretching. Very underrated Tedtalk if you ask me.
Hope you’re better. What did you do to mess your body up so young? What injuries?
have you ever heard of david goggins? check what stretching did to the guy!
@@mugen8studios what happened?
@@maratmankov179 He had chronic pain just like our friend up in the comments and streching changed his life
It helped him, I'm assuming. Sounds like he learned the secrets of stretching.
The nervous system is vital. Our brain can breathe a lot better when stretched. Bloodflow is then opened back up, which is good for circulation. I would believe 😇
"Pain is weakness leaving the body"- I wasn't ever able to connect that with much, till now.
Stretching is underrated
Really great talk! Mobility can be regained. Breath, wet noodle (relaxing your muscles), more time under passive tension (holds between 2-5 min) will open your body back up in a shorter amount of time.
You know it. I'd say don't put a time on it at all and feel it out.
Started stretching everyday after work and it’s lovely. My body needed it and it took a while for my mind to listen. Do your stretches y’all! Takes 10-15 mins and it’s so gooooood!
Hey for online gym work. This Ted Talk was very informational for me.
This was great. Simple advice, but so difficult to follow for some reason. Thank you.
This was awesome. People have no clue how important stretching is~
everyonbe who regularly works out knows this as common practice
Aloha Carla Shayman! Great talk...your a wonderful speaker :)
Julie Herkinsfoy thank you for your support!
Unfortunately most of us just pay attention to stretching after having some sudden pain...
🙋♂️
And remember to breathe 👁
I drive truck… I stretch every day… and I feel great:)
Beautiful....
Poor thing was terrified while speaking
I know stretching is important, yet was just looking for a little more perspective. This video has definitely been a positive influence, and I so enjoyed watching it. Thank you!
I stretch nearly everyday about 30 minutes. My vote is, she is 100% right. I just feel the Freedom of movement and it feels great :)
I've suffered from tinnitus for years after losing my mom. Many doctors couldn't find a cause apart from suspected hearing loss. That wasn't the problem. Emotional trauma that found a home in my muscles, especially my neck and shoulders, was, and stretching, is the only thing that has brought me relief.
Thank you, for this video! You have a such big ❤ to want to help those of us suffering necessarily and those who need not suffer needlessly. It really is very important.
Amazing talk kiddo 😋 Dr Shayman
