Brilliant - thanks a lot for this. I'm showing it to friends. It all worked first time on my Home Office 365 product. I'm guessing my limited knowledge of Python can be extended a great deal with Co-Pilot installed direct in Excel. For the meantime I guess I'll be using chatGPT and Claude and cutting and pasting a lot. 2 things I had to work out for myself. 1. The Python code is executed in the cells in order (top left to right, and then going down the page logically). So my placing the Python cells all over the place created a lot of errors till I worked that out. 2. I start off with a limited amount of Premium compute time a day. All those errors took me past that. But good news - they came right up with an invitation to the free Preview of Python in Excel which for now gives me more compute time.
Glad you liked it! Yeah I struggled with the execution order at first too. I didn't understand why I couldn't access some of the variables I was declaring. Good point on the compute limitations as well, I can't really find any documentation that states exactly what the limits are, but maybe they'll be more transparent at some point.
