Most bags and labels are printed with Magenta, Cyan, Yellow and Black only, unless there is a specific solid color. Also, the plastic we use is probably the cheapest we can get in spec with the client's needs, so if you ever wonder why the bread bag has a leak or why grocery bags always breaks, that's why. And the number of brands belonging to the same company... you wouldn't believe who makes what at the end.

I’m a pest control technician. It’s normal to see insects outside your house. Shocker. I know.

The letting your pet pass one hit home with me. I recently put my wife's cat down, we didn't want to say goodbye but he had bone cancer in his jaw, my wife shelled out a lot of money we really couldn't have to extend his life a few months and the poor guy would have been suffering the entire time. If it were my dog I would have put him down much earlier but it wasn't my call.

I'm a Dietitian. People think all we do is make Meal plans and counsel people. However, I work in high acuity settings and I am responsible for intravenous and tube feeding patients. I am solely responsible for choosing the appropriate formula, the rate, & type and ensuring there are no medications that are contraindicated with said feeding. This is all after I review all of their laboratory parameters, Pmhx, current medications, comorbities, etc to ensure its safe. I know it's not mind blowing but we do alot more than what's assumed :)

Please don't spend thousands of dollars on engagement rings. They're really not worth it.

I didn't want one for this reason. My husband tried to honor my wish, but he's somewhat old fashioned and it nagged at him. So he ended up buying one second-hand weeks after he proposed. I allowed it. We've been happily married for seven years and don't wear our wedding bands now. 😂

If there's a "Millenials are killing X Industry" article about a thing, it deserves to die.

If you have health insurance, health care isn't actually that expensive. People seem to think health insurance means you can go to any doctor, anywhere, at any time, for any reason, and it's covered.
If you're going to a doctor, even for a regular checkup, the difference between a free visit and a $300 visit is literally one ten minute call to your insurance company. "Is this doctor in my network?"
Finally, never take the hospital/medical bill at face value. Wait until you get an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from your insurer. Then pay the medical practice THAT amount, as that's their contracted amount. Of course, this doesn't apply if you go out of network, so keep that in mind.
The idea that someone who gets surgery and needs to pay $60k and that's just how it is perpetuates people spending that money, because they expect it. If you know you're going to need a surgery or an expensive operation/medical procedure, then call your insurance. They'll send you a list of everyone in your area who can help you, or they'll fly you somewhere to get those services done (Hawaii/Alaska members only, usually.)
    Finally,
All these rules reverse when it comes to pharmacies. Pharmacies have something called Cash Pay Gag Orders. As soon as you tell them you have insurance they're contractually bound to not tell you their cash pay pricing. Ask for the cash pay price first, then bring up your insurance and ask the copay cost. You can then compare and pick the option that works best for you.

A ‘coral’ for shopping carts? That must be a new feature compared to the ‘corrals’ already installed in parking lots for carts. I bet it’s advertising for the new Little Mermaid movie. 🤣
