Great video. The part I found most interesting was the shots of the shim stock and punches. 👍🏽

Thank you for the great information on what i should be asking my machine shop when it comes time to send it to them.

Brian,we have much in commend when it comes to either the mechanics of engine / drive train in general, or our shop making sure an interior get's all our attention and no corners cut. I hope one day to take a trip out east and spend a day or two hanging out with you and Maria. Till then, may winter be your friend and ours, Bear

Always enjoy the videos. Wish you could do something about the focus.

Love all your videos, I've learned so much. Have you located a good 2-piece seal I can use with the original size crank seal journal? Or is it best to just use the rope seal still?

No there isn't a good 2 piece out there for stock size crank yet. Many people will tell you there is but trust me there isn't anything that will work correctly yet

The higher the light intensity the higher the f-stop and the longer the focal length and the easier it will be to focus. The video is great nonetheless.

What engine break in oil do you use?

Is it possible to install a new rear main seal without a complete engine tear down?

Hello. Been watching your channel. This was particularly interesting. Do you think most machine shops would know the crank bearings are suppose to be different sizes? I have an L 134. That needs rebuilding.

Most machine shops are making a mess of these engines lately and I get a lot in the shop that have been incorrectly rebuilt. I rebuild and send them all over the USA because so many people are having a hard time finding a good shop to work with.

Hi Brian. I don' even have a Jeep with an L 134 engine, but I watch your videos on them because you are so thorough and you explain the right way to do it and what will happen if you don't do it that way. I have a couple of questions for you. The first is, is there anyway to get a little more power out of the L 134 engine without hurting the reliability and the second question is how many miles do you think one of your completely rebuilt engines will last before it's needs to be rebuilt again? Thanks.

A mild camshaft, improved carburetor, and a less restrictive exhaust will give a little more power without any engine trouble. Engine life is directly tied to maintenance and I have engines that are still running after many years. I built an L head for an amusement park that went in the small train they had that carried people around the park. I did that engine about 15 years ago and it is still doing fine. Runs 7 days a week and 12 hours a day hauling the train and passengers. They are good on taking care of it and it is still running perfectly.
